“Here is your water. I hope it cools you down so we can proceed.”

Hailey unscrewed the lid and took a deep drink.

She replaced the lid on the bottle and placed it on the desk between them. Halstrom leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers.

“Can you tell me why you chose Firm Hand for a place of employment?”

Hailey thought the question was an innuendo about the reality TV show and not the interview she’d hoped for. Although she had no other reason to be here other than to secure herself a good job with a decent wage. Hailey bravely fabricated a response she believed the crowd would consider amusing.

“Well, it should be obvious with a name like Firm Hand Accounting. I assumed I would get some action. You know, a happy ending at the end of each shift or something.” She repliedto his question with a straight face, despite wanting to outright laugh at what she’d just said. She was thinking she had fallen down the rabbit hole and was having tea with the Hatter.

“You assumed that the name of our company came with certain perks. I’d be more than happy to show you what you can expect from me when you don’t live up to your job requirements.”

This was it! Hailey was sure she knew the game now. She stood up and leaned her elbows on his desk. She wiggled her ass from side to side and raised one eyebrow, offering Halstrom a saucy look. “How’s this, Daddy? Can you show me now?”

He reached into his desk and pulled out a thick ruler. His eyes smoldered as he cracked the ruler on his desk.

Chapter Three

Halstrom

Hal was on his way back from the boardroom when he heard a familiar voice. His eyes roamed the large reception area, searching for the source until they landed on his daily dose of entertainment, Hailey from the diner. She was speaking with his receptionist, Amber.

Was his favorite server being here completely coincidental, or had she figured out who he was and was here looking for him?

Her outfit comprised a pair of cute Mary Janes, reminiscent of what he appreciated and expected from aLittle. Her plaid mini did little to cover her long-tanned legs. What spoke volumes to Hal was her blazer. Hailey had gone to private school, and not just any private school, the best one in the city.Hal knew this because he had attended the same one and also knew it was the most expensive one in the city.

She intrigued Hal. Hailey was more than met the eye. Based on her current job, he would have guessed that she’d picked up the blazer in a second-hand store, but those jackets were like gold, created and sold by a leading designer.

Hal watched her interaction with Amber. She was here to apply for a job and not to see him. For a reason he couldn’t name, Hal found that disappointing. He couldn’t deny a definite attraction to Hailey, but he also knew that any type of relationship with Hailey would be messy. For one, she was all over the page, and that didn’t work for him, but he could have fun modifying her habits and ensuring her life went smoothly.

Hal would want her safe, and her current job was not a safe place for her. He’d discreetly followed her home once at the end of her shift when a scary-looking dude wouldn’t take his eyes off her during lunch. It was good that Hal had returned to the restaurant after work and followed her because the creep was on her tail and she’d been completely oblivious.

Hal shuddered to think what would have happened had he not followed them. But even now, he could justify his actions as being from a concerned citizen, and he did his good deed. But if she were with him. She never would have been in danger in the first place, and Hal, despite his attraction to the bubbly server, didn’t want to go there.

From behind a pillar opposite the desk, Hailey impressed Hal with how she handled herself, right until Amber told her about the huge list of applicants. Hailey’s smile went from sincere to appearing painted on, what Hal called her server smile. It rarely reached her eyes, but the average person wouldn’t have noticed, and even fewer would care if her smile reached her eyes. But he cared and loved seeing the sincerity in her eyes when he walked through the door.

Hal gave his head a shake.

When Hailey bee-lined for the bathrooms, Hal suspected she was upchucking her breakfast, assuming she had any, which he doubted. Hal took pity on her and instructed Amber to send Hailey to his office when she returned the bathroom key. They would conduct their interview privately and without the stress of so many people. Hopefully, she would relax a little.

Now, he sat across the desk from her beautiful, laced-cupped breasts dangling in front of him; all rational thoughts flew out the window. Hal was past the shock of her behavior, which had been racier than anything he’d witnessed at the diner. He was at a loss as to what had gotten into Miss Carberry.

“Yes, just like that. I want your agreement, Hailey. That you consent to what happens next? Is that understood?”

Hailey’s eyes lost a little of the humor. She gulped but nodded her head.

“Words, please.”

“Yes, Daddy.”

Hal inwardly groaned; thankful the desk did a marvelous job of hiding his raging hard-on. Did she have any clue as to the effect those words spoken in her soft voice from that sultry mouth had on him?

Hal stood, making sure Hailey got a full view of his cock pressing painfully against the fabric of his dress pants, before moving around the desk and over to his door. Turning the lock changed his mindset from businessman to Accountant Daddy.

Hal chuckled silently at his pun. Perhaps he ought to register it officially and have shirts made. He pictured himself dressed in a play dungeon wearing trademarkedAccountant Daddyclothing and had to cover his laugh by clearing his throat.

Stepping behind Hailey’s prone form, he tugged up her skirt, happy to see that she wore school-issued white cotton panties tomatch the rest of her outfit. Was the outfit chosen for him, or did she just have no clue how to dress for a corporate interview?
