“Can I get you anything else?” The man I saw in the shop comes over to say.
“I’m good. What about you, Angus? I’m sure you need a lot of calories to feed that muscle of yours.”
Catching Clark give her a wicked smile. I can’t help but cough nervously.
“I’m good, thanks.”
We walk out of the restaurant, and I mull over how to ask her out on a second date. Well, maybe a first date. Not really sure what we just did here.
“Where did you park? I’ll walk you to your car,” Elizabeth says, causing my heart to beat faster.
We walk down Main Street together, to the sidestreet with the public parking lot where my truck is. Part of me wants to hold her hand, but I worry she is just being friendly, so I chicken out.
“Thanks for having dinner with me,” Elizabeth says when I hop into my cab. As I close the door, she gestures for me to roll down the window. “I had a really nice time with you, Angus.”
Her voice is soft and sultry sounding, causing my cock to jump to attention.
“So did I. I, uh, enjoy hanging out with you.”
“Me too,” she whispers, raising up on her tiptoes and lightly grabbing my shirt. “Is it OK if I kiss you, Angus?”
With my heart racing a mile a minute, I nod, and the next thing I know, our mouths are exploring each other. She smells like juniper, but tastes like spicy ketchup.
Parting, Elizabeth winks at me and walks off with a wave.
I wait until I hit the road heading up Ravenhart Mountain before bellowing out a celebratory cheer.

A tanned Phoebe steps into our brunch spot and our entire table goes wild.
“Yay! Welcome back!” Leah yelps, jumping up to give her a hug.
Amongst the hugs and hellos, Olive asks, “So how was it? Six weeks on a cruise ship seems like such a long time.”
Sitting down at our table, the newlywed says, “Sort of, but we had so many excursions. Hawaii stops, Tahiti, Australia. It was amazeballs.”
The four of us pepper her with questions until the food arrives and Phoebe puts a stop to it.
“OK, OK, I want to hear from you ladies. It feels like forever since we hung out and it was non-wedding related.”
Ava shoots a wicked grin my way and says, “Liz has something to share.”
All eyes are now on me. I finish my mimosa and pour another healthy glass from the pitcher.
“Alright, spill it Elizabeth. It must be good if you’re getting yourself liquored up,” she teases.
“So, I, uh, well…”
Ava blurts out, “She and Angus smooched!”
Phoebe whips her head around to look at me, eyes wide, and with a huge grin spread across her face.
“No. Way. Angus?”
Laughing, I nod. I can feel my cheeks burn.
