“It’s getting closer and closer to what I imagined every day.The new sign will be installed next week.Jasper and Morris finished putting up the new drywall today and the floors will begin in a few days.We want to paint first.”

“I'm glad.I know you’ve always wanted this.”His eyes shine with tears, but he doesn’t let his emotions get the best of him.

“I have.Thank you for letting me do this, Daddy.”

“Of course, Princess.Storm made me realize it’s ridiculous to keep you locked up in the clubhouse when you have such an amazing talent. You deserve to share it with the world… Though I have a feeling a lot of the guys will be visiting your café daily.”

“I’ll happily accept them, but I'm not making stew, sloppy joes, burgers, or tacos.”I point a finger in his direction, making him chuckle.

“I'm sure they’ll enjoy whatever you have on the menu.”He takes a bite of dinner and lets out a little sigh.I made his favorite meal.Chicken and gnocchi soup with shepherd’s pie.

“Do you think you could provide the shop with some pastries to have on hand?”Oakley raises her gaze to me.

“Possibly.I guess it will depend on how much you want each day and how busy the café is.”My brain runs with the idea and I begin thinking about what I could send to the shop.

Bagels, donuts, pastries, scones, and muffins.I think I could handle that. Some of those things could be prepped the day before or made in advance and frozen.

“I’d happily take some things at the bar, but I'm not sure what those neanderthals would eat while they’re drinking.”Roxy rolls her eyes.

“I like tea sandwiches when I'm drinking.”Jasper smirks.

“Shut up, Jasper. No one cares.I'm not serving tea sandwiches at my bar.”

“I thought it was a saloon.”Morris’ brows furrow.

“It’s a bar.We don’t live in the wild west,” Roxy growls.

I swear the prospects are taught how to push her buttons when they join the club. They all know exactly what to say or do to get her to explode.Though they tend to tread more lightly because they’re scared of her.

“Man, I thought the sign said Savage Saloon.”Chopper strokes his beard, a smirk tugging on the corners of his lips.

“I swear, Chopper.”She slams her hand down on the table.

Before she can chew him out, he drapes his arm around her shoulders and tugs her into his side.He whispers something in her ear and she instantly relaxes and calms down.

“Do you ever wonder what he says to her to get her to calm down that quickly?”Storm whispers in my ear.

“Yeah, but I’ll never find out.”I shrug.Roxy doesn’t talk about Chopper other than to say she can't stand him, which we all know is a lie.

“Why?”

“We don’t talk about Chopper.”

He smirks, but doesn’t say anything else.I’m about to ask why he’s smirking when my phone rings.I frown because everyone I talk to is already at the table.

“Hello?”I answer as soon as I see Artie’s name on the screen.

“Dixie!Someone is throwing things through the windows at the café!I don’t know who they are, but they seem set on ruining everything.”

“Go somewhere safe! We’ll be there as soon as we can.”

“I’ll go to the office. It’s a mess in there, so they’ll never find me.There are so many boxes from the renovations.I can hide behind them.”

“Be safe.We’ll be there soon.”

I end the call and turn to Storm, but he doesn’t need me to tell him anything. He already knows.

“Get everyone and head over to the café.Reapers were sniffing around there this week.”
