Couldn’t figure out where the cameras were

Sex God:

No time yet

Roommate hasn’t left me alone

Hawk:

Trying to get away

Me:

If you put it in the cloud file, I could edit it for you

But you risk me editing in more of Cam’s ass

Sex God:

Done

I gave you access to everything

Miss you

My heart beats a little harder. This wasn’t our personal chat. It’s not under cover of darkness where we make sense. This is the group chat.

Even being in his bed isn’t close enough to him. Without him, I feel off kilter. We haven’t slept apart really. This weekend was the first time I didn’t spend the night wrapped in Damon’s arms, but Hawk and Cam were here the past two nights.

It’s different being alone in his bed.

I grab a Devil’s t-shirt and change into it instead of my pajamas.

Me:

Miss you too

CHAPTER 24

Hawk

Sneakinginto Damon’s house is nothing new. We’ve snuck in and out for years. But as I head toward the back door to go in, I hear voices from the backyard behind the fence.

Curious, I creep to the side of the house. Normally no one is out here, but it’s Sunday night, and Heather and Adam are both home. I’m surprised they didn’t hear my bike, but as I get closer, I realize the music playing on the outdoor speakers probably drowned out the engine.

“Thank you for talking to her,” Heather says softly.

“We’re in this together now. You and me.” Adam’s voice is a little louder than hers. “We should talk about the situation. Are you comfortable with her staying in that bedroom? I know you hoped it would keep her safe.”

Damon wouldn’t allow them to move her. Annie would just move into Damon’s room fully. They have to realize this isn’t just two kids fucking around to get their rocks off.

Heather’s quiet for a few seconds. “Does it really matter? They’re sleeping together already. It’s not like we’re stopping them from doing something they haven’t done yet. And interfering would just make it worse? More forbidden?”

“They are eighteen.” Adam sounds disgruntled about that.

“I just want Evan to be happy.” Heather releases a sigh. “She works so hard. She deserves someone who can love her. To be honest, I haven’t seen her this happy in years. It’s so subtle. The difference between her really being happy and just acting happy.”

“I’m glad. You’re taking this better than I would if she was my daughter.”
