“Of course, you’re my favorite person…” Tatum squeaks when Kodiak pinches her ass. “Outside my mates, of course!” Her squealing giggle sets off Dream’s laugh. The sound makes me want to purr for her.

I always want to purr for Dream.

“What I was trying to say is that you can trust Dream, Apollo. She’s amazing, wonderful, and beautiful,” Tatum informs him with a wink. “And she gives the best advice. Seriously. If you need anything, she’s your girl.”

Dream’s cheeks blush pink at the praise, her scent spiking when she glances between Apollo and me.

“Okay, enough of that. Come with me while I change.” Dream shakes her head, but she’s still smiling. She’s always really liked praise. All Omegas do, but Dream squirms even when the compliments are from our boss or her best friend.

Such a good Omega, so pretty…

“Sorry I’m delaying this. Didn’t realize it would be this kind of meeting when I got dressed for the floor.” She chuckles, shrugging slightly. “Not very business casual. I’ll be quick!”

“We’ll wait for you in the new security room. The one we just renovated for Apollo.”

“Okay!” she calls over her shoulder as she leaves, and I fight very hard not to watch her ass as she prances away, arm in arm with Tatum.

Apollo also seems transfixed on her form, his amber eyes locked on her body. I’d bet money his jaw is hanging open underthat mask. Can’t blame him. Dream is beautiful no matter what she’s wearing, but meeting her for the first time while she’s in lingerie is a pain I can relate to.

Such a sexy ass. Two perfect handfuls…

Goddamn, I need to focus.

“Right this way,” I grunt, gesturing the way forward. I snort when he looks at my hand like its very existence is offensive to him.

Funny, considering he’s the one that stabbed me. I’ve never even touched the man.

I lead Apollo down the hall toward what is effectively his new office.

“You’ll spend the majority of your working hours here. I know you’re already linked to the system and have more experience in your field than I do, but I’ll be here as your support and to teach you the rest of the job.”

“I know.”

“Right.” I sigh, turning to face him. “I’ll have my phone on me at all times, and the security team are all linked to the same radio. Yours is here.” I point to the charging radio we use to quickly communicate on the floor.

“Dream works a lot?” he asks, ignoring the radio entirely, as he glances around the office. The room isn’t massive. It’s big enough for a handful of people to fit. His desk lines the wall, and there’s a round table with four chairs in the center. There are also cabinets on the walls that don’t already hold computer monitors and security screens.

“She’s full-time, if that’s what you’re asking.”

“Good.”

Well, that's concerning…

I’m going to have to keep my eyes on him. Which is annoying because I already have to watch Dream like a hawk. The woman is a danger magnet. Most Omegas are, in her defense, but Dreamhas never stabbed me, and Apollo drew blood in the first five minutes of his shift. On his first day. And that’s just the one time I let him, and not counting the four attempts I dodged already. Though, I get the sense that if he truly wanted to stab me, I never would’ve seen it coming, let alone dodged.

So, one’s a danger magnet, and the other is dangerous.

“You’re going to make yourself a problem, aren’t you?” I sigh, but rather than answering, he just swipes those damn ring blades at me again, narrowly missing me when I swerve. “Thought so.”

It probably says something equally concerning about me that I’m drawn to both of them.

Chapter Three

DREAM

“He was staring at you in a way I have never seen him look at anyone,” Tatum murmurs, glancing back at the Alphas as we head for the lockers. “He barely looks me in the eyes, and when he does, it’s like he’s seeing a ghost.”

“Oh, that’s odd.” I frown. What would make him look at Tatum like that?
