“Okay.”

“You’re showing him how to make a nest?” Hudson asks, his tone unexpectedly tender.

“Yes.” I narrow my eyes on him, warning him not to lose that tenderness and to choose his next words carefully.

“Withmyscent?” The tenderness is gone, but pure Alpha instinct makes his voice husky with desire. I don’t tell him he was just in the right place at the right time. The look in his eyes makes me think he’ll take that as rejection. Besides, it’s not as if I would accept just anyone’s scent for a moment like this. Apollo and Thor would also do nicely, but besides them?

Nope. He’s top three.

“Shh. Watch what I do, Beau.” I let my eyes fall shut to take a deep breath, then climb into the tub.

I let my instincts guide me as I arrange the blankets just so in the oval base before using the pillows to make a border. Hudson’s scent-marked pillow goes in the spot where I saw Beau lay his head to sleep.

“Fuuuuck,” Hudson grunts when I pick up his shirt and mark it with my scent too before laying it next to the pillow I commandeered.

“Alphas get all hot and bothered when we let them watch us nest,” I purr, tucking Hudson’s pants under a pillow to preserve his scent a little longer. “Come here.” Holding my hand out to Beau, he takes it with a dreamy look in his eyes, cheeks flushed pink, his instincts rising to the surface.

“This is the hottest thing I’ve ever seen.” Hudson’s Alpha growl rumbles in his chest as he watches us, dark eyes filled with desire. My purr gets deeper as his scent gets stronger in the air.Poor sweet Beau releases a very Omega whine, startled by the sound as it slips out.

“That’s your whine. It’s okay. You might be overwhelmed by our scents and the intimacy of letting an Alpha see your nest,” I explain. The sudden urge to present for said Alpha washes over me, and now I’m the one whining. “Make it your own,” I whisper, nodding to the pillows around us.

“I want your shirt.” Beau’s voice is a low, needy growl, with hints of his purr rumbling in his chest.

I have to bite my lip to hold back another, much needier whine from escaping as I unbutton my shirt. I have a bra on still, so I’m not worried this is about to get too intense, but it’s still intimate. I feel exposed, but in a good way. I like the way Beau watches me and the way Hudson growls as he watches both of us.

Is Apollo watching too?

I know he has cameras in here. I bet he is.

When I hand my shirt over to Beau, his scent spikes, and under all the chemicals, I think I get a hint of strawberry. Leaning forward, I breathe him in again. It’s faint, but it’s there. This whine does escape because it’s not enough. I want more of him. More of that scent that’s just out of reach.

Beau places my shirt beside Hudson’s, moving a couple pillows around before pouting.

“I want…other scents,” he whispers, and I nod in understanding.

“I know. For now, why don’t you try to get some sleep? Normally I would turn the light off, but I know you like sleeping with it on. If you turn it off, though, it might help settle some of your instincts. Small and dark means safe. But I know you have your reasons not to.”

As I climb out of the tub, Beau lets out a quiet whimper. Hudson’s entire body shakes, and I get the sense he’s tryingto restrain himself from jumping into the nest to comfort the Omega.

“Can you turn on the light over the shower and turn the bigger lights off?” Beau mutters, moving the blanket out from under the pillows and adding it to the border instead. He must like the feel of the cool acrylic. Or maybe he’s not used to the softness. Now I’m the one holding myself back from jumping back into the tub.

Once Hudson changes the lights for Beau, he relaxes enough that I feel comfortable giving him space. It’s his first nest; he needs to be alone with all the feelings and instincts he’s got coursing through him.

The Alpha follows me out of the room silently. It takes me a moment to shake off the effects of all those instincts that took hold of me.

“Thank you,” I say, turning to face him. “Oh, my…” I mutter when I see the front of his briefs. His scent is still pure warm apple spice that makes me want to lick him all over, which does not help my hormones one bit.

"That's the first time I’ve seen an Omega nest,” Hudson grunts. “I’m still recovering.”

“Fair. That was the first time I’ve let an Alpha watch.”

“Probably need a cold shower or something…” He chuckles, and I grin.

“Or something,” I agree. “Have a good night, Hudson.”

“You too, Dream. Sleep well.”

I don’t tell him I’ll probably spend the night thinking about him and Beau…
