I can't even count the number of socks and panties I've sold over the years.

If a customer has a kink, there’s someone at Haze selling it.

My favorite nights to work are theme parties. Especially Fantasy Fae nights. Dressing up like a fairy is probably my life's true calling.

“Gah.”I huff out another heavy sigh and put my travel dress on over my uniform for the night. I don’t want anyone outside of the club to see me like this. I made that mistake once when I went through a drive-thru to get a coffee before one of my first shifts.

That poor barista got the shock of her life that day. If the sweet Omega hadn’t looked at me in a way that suggested she’d never even seen lingerie before, I might not have noticed her reaction at all. The dropped jaw was a giveaway. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone turn that shade of red before, and that was a tame outfit compared to this one.

Seeing as I’m not trying to send the general public into shock, the long black maxi is always a must. Thankfully the drive to work isn’t a long one.

“Hey pretty thing!” My co-worker, Adelle, says with a little giggle when I walk into the locker room a few minutes later.

“Hey love,” I murmur, dropping my stuff on the bench before heading over to her spot in front of one of the vanities, pulling her in for a hug. She is ready for it and even spins around to face me as I approach, arms open wide.

“Mmm, I love your hugs.” She sighs, squeezing me tight for a second, then releases me. “But you seem like you needed that.”

Adelle is an Alpha, and she misses nothing. Between her and my manager, Bubblegum, who’s also an Alpha, I can’t hide anything. Honestly, it wouldn’t even take an Alpha’s intuition to figure me out. I’m an open book and wear my emotions on my sleeve. Life is too short to keep everything all bottled in.

“I did,” I admit as I take the black dress off and stuff it into my duffle bag before pulling my heels out. Once I’m ready, I shove the bag in my locker and turn to face the patient saint of anAlpha. “Declan called me in for a meeting.” I shrug one shoulder, wincing. She doesn’t need all the details to know the gist of what happened to Tatum and why I’m still a mess around our bosses.

“Oh, Dream-Pop.” She stands, walking over to me, arms wide open once again. “One more, and this time I can squeeze extra tight?” she offers. I snort when it clicks in my head that she’s wearing nothing but a thong and nipple pasties.

“Thank you,” I mumble, sinking into her hug. She’s always been affectionate, and it’s something I really appreciate in moments like this. Breathing in her Alpha scent helps soothe me just the tiniest bit since she’s neither my Alpha nor a potential mate.

She’s single and unmated, but as she likes to say,“Sadly, sexuality was not a choice for me, because I did not choose men…”Basically, she’s straight, much to her dismay.

I’ve always thought of myself as mostly straight—maybe a little bi-curious, since I find myself sexually drawn to pretty much anyone if I think they’re attractive. A lot of different things make me feel that pull. Sometimes it’s how compassionate someone is, or it could be as simple as their ability to charm me while wearing a pretty necklace.

I’m attracted to the most random things sometimes. I had a crush on an Alpha once just because I thought he had sexy hands and glossy hair. That was all it took to make me find the rest of him appealing. With Adelle it was her ability to match my need for physical affection. She never complains about how clingy I am. But alas, I am lacking the masculinity she seeks.

And probably a non-detachable ween...

“I think you’ve hidden from the big boss for long enough, Dream-Pop. I’ve never seen him bite anyone but Tatum; I think you’re safe,” she teases.

Still, you don’t have to see him bite to know his bark isn’t the scariest thing about him. Unfortunately, my nerves aren’t thisbad because I’m scared of Declan or any of my bosses. No, what I’m feeling is much, much worse.

Shame.

She’s right though. No more hiding. At least for tonight.

“Hey handsome.”Trev, with his neat short blond hair and stunning green eyes, is standing at the entrance to the stairs that lead to the second level, where the main office is located.

“Miss Dream.”

Mmm, such a sexy voice.

So tall. So hot. So big.

He’s fun to flirt with, but it’s never gone further. It’s not that I’m shy. Can’t be with a job like this one, but Omegas are not built for rejection. Something I am particularly sensitive to. I hide it well, for the most part, but if I asked an Alpha like Trev out, and he said no?

I wouldn’t just have to quit working at Haze; I would have to leave the country. My poor Omega heart couldn’t handle it.

His dominance alone could level a city. The thought of him using it to bark at me, with his sexy Alpha growl? I don’t enjoy being forced to comply, but with Trev, knowing how gentle he is with all the Omegas that work here? I bet he’d blush with every word.

Shit, is he saying something? I was distracted by his lips, but I have no idea what words just came out of them.

“I’m going to be honest with you, big guy. I didn’t hear a single word you just said.” I sigh, imagining myself climbing himlike a tree. Probably only needs one arm to hold me up. What could he do with the other one?
