“I assure you, I’m clean.” Sette’s hand began to sketch the length of June’s arms. “Unless you mean the other thing with other clients. I’ve got a lot of experience in that. I mean… in case you ever need some off-the-record services in your line of work.”

June laughed. “Don’t worry. I’ve got the best IUD on the market. No babies and no periods. Life’s good.”

“I know about that too.”

“What? Life being good?”

“I actually meant the IUD and no periods part, but that works, too.”

“Have you ever put an IUD in a woman, Ms. Gyno? Got one yourself?”

“A few times, yes. Usually, someone else did that.” She cleared her throat while attempting to concentrate more on the conversation than on June’s glorious nudity. “Never had one, myself. I don’t fancy men, and my hormones have always been all right.”

“Best invention ever, I tell you.”

“I’ll take your word on it.”

When their session ended an hour later, June escaped into the bathroom and emerged in a robe. Sette was halfway through packing up her things when her model slipped her a card.

“I’m coming up for patronage soon,” she said. “Think about it, would you?”

Sette peered into her hand while June wrote up her receipt for the day. Suffice to say, Sette was charged for that glorious orgasm. “Not quite sure I follow.”

“Haven’t you been told about the patron system?”

“Perhaps. I wasn’t paying attention.”

“Typical.” June propped an arm on her shoulder and pointed to the card. “Look it over when you get home. I have it on good authority that a formal announcement will show up in your mailbox sometime soon. I wouldn’t mind having you for a patron at all… especially if you promise to keep loving on me like that.”

Sette was familiar with the concept of a patron, sure. After all, her current trade had a healthy history of patronage. It was how many of the famous artists of old made their living while they cranked out works of art that would be scrutinized by art history majors in centuries to come. The idea of being June’s patron, though? That was strange. Sette would have to look it over later. “What kind of perks does that come with?”

June winked at her. “I’ll be all yours whenever you want, no extra charge for anything. You could take me out of here whenever you want.”

“Whenever I want, huh?” Sette snaked her arm around June’s waist and brought her into an embrace. “Take you wherever I want… do to you whatever I want… I like this idea.”

“I’ll warn you, Dr. Christie, it’s expensive to have a woman like me on standby for your…” she glanced down at those nipples standing stalwart beneath Sette’s dress, “urges.”

“I don’t doubt it. How could a woman like you possibly come cheap?”

“Haven’t you realized how many breaks I’ve been giving you?” She rubbed Sette’s chest, playing with the top buttons of her knee-length dress as if she were going to break them open again.I wouldn’t say no. Instead, she merely kissed Sette, letting her lips linger on hers until she took matters into her own hands. “Now that’s what I’m talking about,” June muttered between kisses. Her expert hands dipped beneath Sette’s skirt andpopped open the button above. When her hand touched Sette’s thigh, she was done for – again. “Let me show you what kind of wonderful perks you get with June Kingsley.”

She sank to her knees, eyes never leaving hers. June was a cheeky woman, all right. The more she gave Sette these demonstrations, even if it cost her? The more she realized that no other woman could compare to what June said and did. A dangerous thought, but Sette Christie was not exactly someone who was used to meeting amazing women like June.

Even so, was it so terrible that their sexual relationship might remain professional? Sette thought this as June made oral love to her, tongue bringing Sette back to life and her hands traveling up her body, as if June never wanted to let her go.

For the briefest moment, Sette thought that this was how June was with everyone. Yet a small part allowed her to fantasize that she really was that special. Why shouldn’t she be? She had a lot to offer, and not just the money she had hoarded for decades.

Although June would probably like that the most. Like Sette couldn’t deny that she liked this quite a bit, too!

Chapter 12

Miquela

The fresh air was only comparable to the crisp feel of the water as it splashed against Miquela’s hand.Been too long since I felt something as nice as this. She wouldn’t say that water flowed in her veins instead of blood, but a Monegasque had some standards to keep.

The marina was something she had longed to visit since moving into town, but work – and play – had kept her from it. That Thursday, however, she had the afternoon off and fully intended to take stock of the actual city around her.

Aimee was off with the new friends she had made. Miquela didn’t need her today, although she might later if she decided to buy a boat and required someone to help her sort through the paperwork. Aimee was a star at organizing. So was Miquela, but it was much nicer to hire someone to do it for her so she could concentrate on other things. Like life on the open seas… even if the sea was a little way away.
