He chuckles and the feel of his chest rattling makes me smile.
“You won’t, you wouldn’t want to ruin the moment of me finally telling you myself.” He says through a yawn.
“Hmmm okay, you got me there.” I close my eyes and a yawn of my own escapes me. I settle against him, the two of just us enjoying the comfortable silence stretching between us.

“Willow, hey. Wake up.” A soft voice breaks through the sleepy haze I’m in and I open my eyes to see I’m still in Dragna’s office sprawled out in the giant armchair with a blanket over me.
“Oh my god, did we fall asleep?” I ask him as he kneels in front of me holding out a takeaway coffee cup.
“Did you really tuck me in and then wake me up with a coffee order? This really is heaven.” I laugh sitting up and taking the coffee from him.
“You fell asleep on me, and I didn’t want to wake you so I let you sleep for an hour before I realised you were really out cold. You didn’t even flinch when I moved you to get up. Which makes me even more glad you have the cameras installed and also why I should probably post outside your bedroom door every night despite them.” He raises an eyebrow at me daring me to protest the fact I sleep like I’m dead.
“If you want to have a sleepover you can just ask. You don’t need to make up excuses you know.” I raise an eyebrow back at him.
“I’m a thirty four year old powerful businessman, please don’t say the word ‘sleepover’ like that at me again.” He pretends to be disgusted I even insinuated such a thing.
“But if you’re offering…” He adds with a smirk.
“At my house though, I think Alina might try to kill me in my sleep if I stayed at yours.”
“She is coming round to you again, it’s just going to take a while.”
Okay, it’s going to take a lonnnng while.
As much as she told me under no circumstances should I stop seeing Dragna when I told her I would end things with him, it’s also killing me knowing she’s uncomfortable when he’s there, so now we have been spending more time at his house rather than at my apartment.
“I can send Mikhail to your apartment to get you some clothes if Alina is home. Stay with me here and then we’ll go back to mine when the club closes.”
I debate going home myself but also I don’t want to move from this armchair, I don’t think my legs are working yet still after what we did earlier.
“I’ll text Ali now.”
I reach for my phone and the smile Dragna gives me at the fact I’m choosing to stay with him would melt my underwear off… if I was wearing any.
Chapter Twenty Nine
Dragna
“Just leave her be Lev.” I take a long drink of my whiskey hoping Lev calms the fuck down.
“Leave her be? She’s doing this on purpose.” He shouts, pointing at the computer screens showing security camera feeds of Alina dancing with a random guy.
What was supposed to be Alina giving clothes to Mikhail for Willow turned into her getting into Mikhail’s car when he was leaving and arriving at the club with Mikhail.
“Why else would she come here and do this when she knows I’m going to fucking see her!” He roars back at me and I grab him by the back of his neck and push him against the wall.
“Let Willow handle it. I won’t have you causing more trouble because you can’t get a grip on your fucking emotions. I’ve told you countless times already that I gave you this position because I thought you could handle it and so far in most of our meetings you’ve let your anger get the better of you.”
I can’t help my own anger right now and being completely honest, if it was Willow down there parading herself around in front of me I’d have shot the guy she was dancing with in the middle of the crowd. But that’s not the point.
“And why did I lose my temper D? Because those meetings had the fucking Italian scum there. Nero, who was dancing with Alina and who played part in drugging Willow might I fucking remind you. Then her father’s own men would have tried to attack her if he hadn’t called them off when she stood up to him. Everything comes down to her.”
He tries to shove against my hold.
“I fucking need her D. You don’t understand.”
