“Then come talk some fucking sense into him! Get him to release her!”
Cash huffs as he sits back into his chair. He glances one more time at the door before looking back at me.
“Fine. Let me make a few calls, and then we will go.”
“Where to?”
“His house in Arizona. It’s the only place I would think he would take her.”
“What’s his phone number?”
“You won’t be able to trace him. He’s smart, Myles.”
“You don’t know Fabian. That guy can find anyone.”
Cash rolls his eyes before he tells me the number. I send it to Fabian, and we wait. Five minutes later, my phone dings. A generalized 5-mile-wide area comes up on the screen. I show it to Cash, and he nods.
“That’s where the Arizona house is. Fuck. Okay. Let me make a few calls. You go try to convince Miss Liability not to go with us, and then I’ll meet you downstairs.”
He turns his focus back to his computer as he puts his cell phone to his ear.
“Thanks, Cash.”
“Don’t thank me yet. We might not make it out of this alive.”

Mina
The silence is deafening, but I would take that over the constant dripping coming from the leaky pipe above me.

A rhythmic tap, tap, tap as each drop splashes into the puddle forming on the floor below. I tried to open my eyes, but my head’s pounding. I think I hit it on the driveway when I passed out. I highly doubt the fucker who stabbed me would save me from face-planting on the ground.

I flex my wrists to check the restraints. I have to bite the inside of my cheek to keep myself from screaming. The pain in my hand is unimaginable. My face twists in pain.
“Oh, good. The toy's awake. Boss!” Thesound of his shout vibrates inside my skull, and a wave of nausea hits me.
Fingers grip onto my chin and force my face up. My eyes barely crack open. Just enough to see that Quin is here before shutting them again.
*Smack*
My head snaps to the side. The world tilts from his hit.
“Wake up!”
My eyes open to find Quin circling me. I glance down. I’m still wearing Myles's dress shirt. It’s dirty and practically torn apart, but it allows me to have some shred of dignity still.
