I stop and spin on my heels as Cash comes rushing up to us. I’ve never been a violent man, but at this moment, I will knock someone out for every Goddamn minute he keeps me from being alone with my woman.
My…Woman…
“What can I do for you, Cash? We were just leaving.” I ask. He glances at Mina, then back at me.
“I just wanted to say thank you again and find out when we can set something up to discuss the other club.”
I take a deep, shaky breath to keep myself from strangling him. I can see Mina’s lips smirk out of the corner of my eye. She can feel the frustration radiating from me. Hergrip tightens on my hand as her thumb begins to stroke along my knuckles.
“Monday. I’ll have my assistant call you with a time. Now, if you’ll excuse us…”
“Oh.” He glances back at Mina and grins. “Right…Sorry. Glad everything’s figured out now.” He winks at Mina before turning on his heels. “Enjoy your night,” he says as he walks away.
“Myles, we could just get a room upstairs…”
“Car. NOW!” I say commandingly.
She bites her bottom lip as her eyes roam along my body.
“Yes, Sir.”
She turns and begins to pull me outside. I hand the valet the tags and watch him scamper off to get my car. I pull her body against mine. The night is warm, but there’s a cool breeze that’s causing goosebumps to spread across her skin. She tucks her face against my chest as I rest my head on top of hers. Fuck, her smell seeps into me and causes a low growl to come from deep in my chest.
“This kid needs to hurry up!” I huff, and it causes her to laugh. I tilt her face up to look at me. “What’s so funny?”
“I just thought a man like you would have more patience.”
“Sunshine, I have been patient…For six fucking months.”
Her eyes soften as she looks up at me.
“I haven’t touched or even looked at another woman since I was with you. It’s killed me every fucking day having to watch you live your life without being by your side…”
“So you were watching?” she smirks at my admission.
“Yes, Sunshine. I was.”
“Is that why there’s now a wing dedicated to Octavia at the hospital I work at?”
“They were losing funding! You just got hired, and you were so happy. I couldn’t…”
She stands up on her tiptoes and wraps her arms around my neck, pulling my lips to hers. The tension in my body calms as her lips part and her tongue touches mine. When the car pulls up, she breaks our kiss.
“Thank you,” she whispers against my lips. “Now let’s get out of here.” She pulls me lower to whisper in my ear, causing my skin to prickle from her warm breath. “I’ve missed the feeling of you inside me. I’ve thought about it almost every night…"
My fingers tighten on her hips, causing her to groan.
“Fuck, Mina. You can’t say stuff like that…”
“Why?” she asks as she tries to step away but I keep her close. No one else needs to hear this.
“Because, Sunshine, a patient man is also a dangerous man. You never know when we might be at our limit…And right now I’m about two seconds away from bending you over the hood of my car and fucking you until you forget how to breathe. Now, do you want to get in the car? Or do you want to keep testing my patience?”
Her eyes widen and her breathing picks up. Oh, tonight is going to be fun.
