"Cass. You are up." I tell her.

"Okay, I go straight into the tavern. I walk in, sit at the bar, and get the bartender's attention. I want to ask him about the disappearances and if he knows who put out the job notice, " she says.

"Ok, the bartender is a Dragonborn, so he is wary of your presence. He keeps some distance but is intrigued by your natural charm and good looks. No need for a skill check. He says that there is an Elf Druid that lives in town and comes in almost every night. He is the one hiring people to investigate the disappearances. Whatever happened to them also happened to his daughter."

"What does the Dragonborn bartender look like?"

"He is about 7 feet tall. Long dark black hair with red tips that hangs just below his jawline. He has dark red to blackombre scales. Jet black eyes. He is definitely a good looking dragonborn."

"Hmm. Ok." Cassie’s turn is over.

"Ash, you are up. What do you do?"

"Well, I immediately notice that most patrons are in groups. There is, however, a lone Tiefling at the bar. So, I keep my distance. I head to a booth toward the back of the bar. Gives me a better vantage point to see who comes in."

"Ok, so you just want to observe for a while?"

"Yep. I like to watch," she replies, looking over at Jayme with her Cheshire smile. Good lord, Ash. She is interested in Jayme, at least a little bit.

"Ok back to sunny. Some time has passed. The old Elf has come into the tavern and sits in a booth near the fire. The crowd is starting to dwindle. Not many townsfolk like being out late with all the disappearances. "

Sunny bumps Ash with his elbow to get her to focus. Thank you, Sunny.

"Ok, so when I finally enter the tavern, I immediately go over to the fireplace. I’m freezing. Standing there, I want to talk with the old man. See if he knows anything about the disappearances."

"All right." I glance over some of my notes. "The man is hesitant. They have been wary of lone travelers and outsiders. No one can be too careful nowadays. But he does tell you that he is the one who sent the job notices to all the neighboring towns. He tells you about his daughter Arana and how she was playing by the hot springs when suddenly she was gone. No blood, no drag marks. Nothing."

"Can I ask him about his daughter? Age and other descriptive features." He asks.

"Yes. She is about 12. Very tiny, even for an elf child. Brown hair past her shoulders. And bright green eyes."

Sunny writes down the descriptions.

"I let the elf know I will attempt to assemble a team and discover who or what is taking people. And that I will try my best to recover his daughter."

"Very good. Cass, it’s getting late. You have been just up at the bar, seeing what is going on. Almost all the patrons are gone now. The old man left, but you heard the dwarf talking about assembling a team. What do you do next?"

38. Cassie

Ok. Time to have some fun!

"The lights are dim. Only a few tavern patrons are still here. I notice the last of the group of rowdy bards are finally making their exit. Then, there was just us. As I sit across from him while he cleans up the bar, I can’t help but wonder what he would be like in bed. I mean, of course, I’ve heard the rumors about dragonborns. Their arcane energy is legendary. Their passion in bed is unmatched and damn he is good looking. His tall form looms over me. His dark red to black ombre scales glisten in the lanterns light. His eyes are like piercing daggers and right now, they are locked on me. The heat in his eyes is making my core pulse. I can already feel the moisture pooling between my thighs. Oh what I would do to him behind closed doors. Fuck, I’d do it on this bar right now if I could. Rip his shirt off and lick all the way from his sculpted jaw, down to his... ugh This kind of attraction is forbidden in society. A Dragonborn can’t be seen with a Tiefling. It’s unheard of, but hey, no one has to see us together, right? It would be just one night. Ok, time to just go for it. I lock my eyes on him. I can’t help but bite my bottom lip and then watch as his tongue grazes his. I lean forward across the wooden bar top to grab him by the neck and...."

Lucian cuts in. "Ahem. Um I’m going to need you to roll a check to see if you are able to kiss him. Use your Dex modifier."

The D20 drops from my hand, stopping on a 4. A fucking 4. Even with my mod that’s a fucking 5.

Lucian can hardly hold in his laughter. “Your characters foot slips off the barstools crossbar and instead of grabbing the dragonborns neck, you proceed to fall flat on your face. Bouncing your head off the bar. The barkeep looks at you with a look of annoyance and mutters “clumsy Tiefling!” and walks away. “

Sunny and Ash are cracking up as well. Jayme just looks utterly confused and is just sitting next to me, probably wondering why the fuck he decided to come here tonight.

"Well, now that I’m practically knocked out, I guess my turn is over." I huff as I sit back in my chair.

I usually don’t go for a fantasy fuck in our d&d campaigns, but I don’t know; lately, I’ve just wanted to change up how my character behaves. I'm sick of always being the lawful good or lawful neutral character. I want to be bad. Ok, not a murder hobo style, but just something fun, sexy, and spontaneous. Looking up from my character sheet, I notice Lucian staring at me. Not only that, but he is looking at me with a heated desire in his eyes. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. Ha! Perhaps I’ll try to roll the die and see if I fall face-first into this table if I try to grab him by the neck. No, that could never happen. Lucian said it himself; he looks at me like a sister. He is also probably weirded out by the change of traits I decided to make on this character.

Lucian clears his throat, breaking eye contact.

"Ugh, where were we? Oh Ash, your turn."
