“She wants to see Johnny.”

I nodded. “I’ll work something out to see if I can get her to go up there.”

She was afraid to leave the room, but maybe with me, Haizley, and some of the guys, I could coax her out of there. But for now, I focused on Indie, who sat next to Mimic.

“Indie, the officers and I have talked, and we’d like to extend you an invitation to prospect for the club.”

Indie’s eyes were as wide as saucers, and her mouth hung open. “Seriously?”

“Yes,” I confirmed, the corners of my mouth lifting just the slightest amount at her surprise.

“Are women allowed in the MC?” she asked.

“Until now, no. But as the new president of the Mother Chapter, I have the power to change the charter. And I’d like you to be our first sister. You won’t get special treatment. You’ll have to prospect like everyone else. Is that something you’d be interested in?”

“Fuck yes!” She turned to Mimic. “Are you okay with this?”

“Fuck no. But not because you’re a girl. Because you’re fucking mine, and I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

“I think she’s established she can take care of herself,” Jack teased. Mimic glared at him and growled. Jack flipped him off. “You think I’m afraid of you? My old lady would tear you apart.” Jack laughed, and I couldn’t help but grin.

We all knew he was right. Sam and Mimic had a special relationship, and we all knew he’d never do anything to jeopardize it. I was surprised how well Sam and Diana got along. I’d thought for sure there would have been some jealousy on one side or the other. But Sam deferred to Diana as Mimic and Kytten’s mother. And Diana sought advice from Sam on how to bond with her son. Kytten had accepted both her parents immediately. Mimic was still working on forgiving his mother. Not sure he’d ever have a relationship with Bane, though. And I was damn sure he didn’t trust Kronos. Blood didn’t mean much to Mimic, except when it came to his twin sister. Character was the only way to be in Mimic’s life.

“Jack will have a cut for you by the end of the day. Right now, you can step out and go see Joey. Tell him you’re prospecting and see if he needs help with anything.”

Indie smiled big and leaned over to kiss Mimic. Then she jumped out of her seat, and Blade stood to unlock the doors to let her out. He chuckled as he relocked the door and sat back down.

“She’s a ray of fucking sunshine when she’s not scary as fucking hell. There’s no in between with her,” he said.

Kytten looked my way and smiled. “You gonna offer me a cut too?”

“No.”

Her smile dropped, and it took every effort not to smile at her disappointment. “I have something else planned for you.”

She looked at Cash, who shook his head. I knew he hated this, especially since we’d learned she was pregnant. They had an appointment for an ultrasound coming up soon, and Cash was convinced it was twins.

Kytten turned back to me and asked, “What is it?”

“What do you know about the Biker Federation?” I asked.

“I know that it’s comprised of various club presidents, who work together to keep order. Val was always pissed off that she wasn’t a part of it. But she also wanted us under the radar.” Her voice got lower as she spoke about Valhalla, the former president of the Nyght Nymphs. Val had found Kytten living on the streets as a kid and took her home and raised her. Only to find out recently that she was the daughter of the man Val was obsessed with and the woman she’d had locked up in an insane asylum. Once she learned that piece of information, her and Dakota Stone, who she was working with, had tried to kill both Mimic and Kytten; only, Indie had killed her. It was something I still needed to talk to Reaper about.

“The Federation also chooses who will sit at the table,” Nav added. But there are rules for that.”

“What kind of rules?” she asked.

I looked over at Nav and waved my hand for him to continue.

“Every club has a place in the Federation if it chooses to comply. But not every president has a shot at the table. In order to sit at the table and represent the Federation, you must be a club president and have a direct line to one of the original five members who started the Golden Skulls back in the late 1800s.”

“What does that have to do with me?” she asked warily, looking from Nav to me.

“We want you to sit at the table,” I said. “Reaper sits there now, but he doesn’t want it. Montana was removed after the shit with the Satan’s Angels.”

“Which if he’d done what he was supposed to, we wouldn’t be in this shit now. So Montana is not getting that seat back,” Sypher added.

“Again, what does that have to do with me? How can I sit at the table?
