“Fidik, I swear to answer any question Avilyna asks truthfully for the next two minutes.” The crimson drops lift, swirlingbefore fading into smoke. He shoots me a cocky grin. “Two minutes, Princess. Don’t waste it.”

I’m stunned.

He actually did it. Pledged his soul, hissoul, for me.

“Tic-toc,” Brackwell says, smirking.

I swallow hard. “Has anything happened with Heather since we met?” He nods.

My chest tightens, disappointment settling in my gut, a heavy stone.

“Once that first night you were at the manor,” Kai’s voice is rough, as if he’s tasting something bitter. “But I couldn’t enjoy it, the whole time, I could only think of you. Only you, in every thought.” He adds the last words shyly, and it makes my heart race faster.

I hate to admit it, but knowing I’m the only one who haunts him like this? It twists something inside me, a fierce, fiercesatisfaction.

“But I saw you kiss her,” I spat out, refusing to be so easily fooled, fury in every word.

Kai’s eyes darken. “You saw exactly what I wanted you to see. Heather’s predictable. I knew how to push you away, how to make you think it went that way. The moment you left the room, I shoved her off.Nothinghappened.” Heat floods my veins, burning hotter than any wine.

I don’t think, and my palm connects sharply with his cheek. The sound echoes between us. His head jerks to the side while pink spreads across his skin. Shame and something darker coils inside me, but I know it’s no regret.

“I deserved that,” he whispers. Kai locks eyes with me, no bullshit. “Look, the only person I’m thinking about is you. The only one I give a damn about is you. Yeah, there’s Wyll, Caleb, maybe Nalaka and Sakura, but none of ‘em even come close. Not the way you do. So yeah, I’m sorry. Ok? Iamsorry,Vi.” He snapsthose last words as if the idea of me doubting him is the biggest insult he’s ever heard. His statement wraps around me, thick, heavy, and burning like the alcohol still clinging to my throat. Clouding my head, and all I can manage to ask is.

“What do you want?”

A slow, dangerous grin spreads across Kai’s face. A hunter’s smile that sends a shiver straight down my spine.

“You.”

SHE’S MINE

My words land on Vi,igniting a flush across her tanned cheeks. Her breath becomes shallow. Her chest rises and falls in a rhythm that pulls my gaze irresistibly. She’s a vision, a fallen angel with blood smeared across her face.

The blood I left.

That thought alone makes me harder than I thought possible. But the bruises marking her skin, that,it ignites a fury that threatens to consume me. Anyone who dares harm her will face my wrath. Avilyna’s mine, in every sense of the word.

“Strip,” I command, my voice rough with restraint. I don’t care that it betrays how undone she makes me; I want to see all of her. Avilyna meets my gaze with a coy smile.

“You still can’t touch.” That playful challenge only fuels the storm inside me.

“What the hell is this nonsense?” Her confidence shines through, and I can’t help but feel a surge ofpride.

That’smygirl.

“I don’t think you’ve learned the lesson of what happens when you deceive me.” My little terror lets her hands wander slowly, finally cupping her breast, the black sports bra doing nothing to hide how voluptuous her breasts are, nipples pullingthe fabric tight. With a delicate touch, she trails her fingers down to her soft stomach, adding, “I want to see what you look like when someone tells you no.” She reaches the waistband of her leggings and gently pulls them down along her sculpted legs.

The past few months have shaped her body, revealing a quiet strength beneath, but thank Kvirrshe didn’t lose her curves. It only serves to accentuate them. The urge to rasp my calloused palms against her soft skin makes me shake. Avilyna’s the only warmth my body has ever craved, the moon to my wolf.

The agony must show on my features because Vi’s mouth turns into a satisfied grin. She stands there in her matching black set. Showcasing perfection as the fabric moulds her delicious hips. Clenching my jaw, I try to control the impulse not to make her regret this stupid rule. But hell, I'm used to getting what I want, and that’s a habit I don’t plan on breaking anytime soon.

“Fine,” I say with a smirk. My hand reaches down to grab my favourite toy. Not giving her time to register my intention, I walk into her space.

“Wh-what,” cutting her off as the metal slides down her cheek, tracing the vein pulsing at her neck.
