It would mean missing out on time with her boy and her girl, which was disappointing to say the least. Especially when she’d been looking forward to rewarding them. “Nobody else is available?”

“I can check around and ask, but I know Samuel is taking his Eliza to visit with her parents and there are a few others who will be out of pocket.”

“All right. If there’s someone else who can take my place, I’d prefer to spend the weekend with my Little ones, but I am happy to help out if needed.”

A wide grin split his face. “Excellent. I’ll ask around some more, but in the meantime I’ll have Dalton send you the information. I appreciate the help, Addison, the students will be devastated if we have to cancel.”

“Of course.”

She tried not to worry too much about the change of plans as she made her way to her next class. But when Kylie and Danny rushed into her office before lunch for their standing “plugremoval” date without a word from Derek, she had no choice but to tell them.

“I’m afraid we’re going to have to rearrange our weekend plans a bit, my loves,” she said, keeping her tone as gentle as possible while baring their bottoms to her gaze.

“What? Why?” Craning her neck to look over her shoulder, Kylie pitched her voice up to a whine, her bottom lip puffing out in a pout at the news.

“Professor Dalton is sick, so I’m taking his place on a group outing to Bozeman. I’ll be leaving tonight and won’t be back until Sunday afternoon.”

“But we were supposed to have a date night on Saturday!” Tears filled her girl’s eyes, and they might as well have been daggers straight to Addison’s heart.

“I know, baby. Mommy will make it up to you another time.”

“It’s okay, Ky.” Laying his hand over Kylie’s, Danny squeezed and offered her a reassuring smile. “We can have fun, just the two of us. Oh! We could have that gaming marathon we’ve been talking about! I’ll even introduce you to the guys if you want.”

Gratitude welled in Addison’s chest as she gripped the end of his plug. “That sounds like a fun weekend, don’t you think, little dove?”

“I guess.” But judging by the sulk in her voice, Kylie wasn’t convinced.

And she wasn’t likely to be any happier about it once Addison finished her talk. “I know it’s not ideal, baby, but it sounds like you and Danny will have a fun weekend without me. But there are some extra rules.”

Both her Little ones groaned at that announcement, just as Danny’s plug slid free. Setting it aside to be cleaned when they were done, she moved onto her babygirl, giving her bottom a hard squeeze. A reminder that Mommy was in charge, even when she wasn’t going to be around. “First off, Danny is incharge this weekend. Which means if your sister breaks any rules, it’s your job to report them to Mommy.”

“So you really do want me to be a tattletale?”

“No, I want you to be a responsible big brother and keep an eye on your little sister. We’ve already had this discussion and I thought you understood the difference. However, if that’s too much responsibility for you, I can send you both to the Littles’ Wing for the weekend instead.”

“Danny!” Kylie’s voice pitched up to a whine. “I don’t wanna go to the Littles’ Wing!”

Looking slightly panicked, Danny shook his head. “You don’t need to do that. I can handle it, I promise.”

“Good boy. Now the next rule is, I don’t want either of you leaving the Ranch while I’m out of town. Even to go up to the Ridge.”

It was, she was willing to admit, a bit excessive. Especially since if they were to leave the Ranch they’d either be together or with a larger group. But she would sleep easier knowing they were both tucked away safely at Rawhide while she wasn’t around to keep an eye on them.

Kylie whined and whimpered more than usual as her plug was removed, and Addison wasn’t sure if it was from the plug itself or the news that their date night would need to be delayed. Either way, Addison gave her plenty of snuggles when it was all done and assured her everything would be fine and she’d have the best time with Danny over the weekend. Eventually, Kylie seemed more settled, so she sent them both on their way to lunch with a kiss.

“Oh, one last thing before you go.” She paused, waiting for them both to turn and face her. “Rule number six still applies. No pleasure for either of you until Mommy gets back from her trip.”

That reminder earned her another round of pouting and whining protests, but instead of making her feel guilty, they only fed her sadist soul. Either they would obey and they’d be needy Little messes by the time she returned on Sunday or they wouldn’t and she’d have an excuse to punish them.

It was a win-win for her, really. Though it was clear her Little ones didn’t agree.

Ah, well. She was looking forward to seeing which path they’d chosen when she returned from her trip.

Kylie

“Aw, come on, Ky. We’re having fun. Cheer up.”

Guilt pricked at the base of her skull as she picked up her controller again. “Sorry. I just miss her.”
