I rolled my lips between my teeth and pushed up my glasses.

“It doesn’t matter. I should go to bed.”

“Don’t you dare move a step closer to that door.” Leon reached out to touch my light pink, flannel pajamas. “You couldn’t be more innocent if you tried.”

So, was that the issue? Was I just too…childish? I had to know.

“And that’s a bad thing? Is that why you don’t want to take me back to the club?”

He stepped back like I’d slapped him.

“What’d you just say?”

I considered running away but I knew he’d catch me before I got to the door. Instead, I decided the best way of getting out of a painful conversation was to change topics.

“Are you working on your motorcycle? What are you doing to it? We lived next to a guy with a motorcycle when I was young. He worked on it in the driveway and I always wanted to help but after finding my mom in his garage, riding everything but the motorcycle, I gave that idea up.”

Leon frowned.

“You want to help me work on it?”

“Not if you don’t want me to. Or if I’d be an inconvenience.”

“Tell me why you think I don’t want to take you back to the club and I’ll let you help.” He saw me about to answer and held up his hand. “It sounded optional but it isn’t. Tell me.”

I tried to walk around him but he gripped my hips and held me steady. I stared at the floor and sighed.

“You don’t seem to like me very much. Theo and Dominic spend more time around me but you avoid me. And none of you have asked me to go back to the club since the other night. Was I bad? Is it because I didn’t know what I was doing? Is that why you don’t want to take me back? Am Itooinnocent?”

I blinked and found myself bent over Leon’s bike with his big hand coming down on my butt. I grunted from the shock and sting of it and then I was right side up again.

Leon gripped my upper arms and gently shook me.

“We’ve been busy with other things, Sutton. All of us want to take you back but it’s not always easy for us all three to be free at the same time. It has nothing to do with our feelings toward you. As far as your innocence goes…”

I gasped when he pinned me to his chest and ran his other hand down to my butt.

“If you seriously think that what happened at the club wasn’t the best sex of my life, you’re nuts. It’s fucked up but knowing that no one else ever got to fuck your tight little throat before us is the shit dreams are made of.” He squeezed my butt and then pressed a kiss to the side of my neck. “You weren’t bad, Kitten. You were fucking amazing. I’ve been trying to give you space without following you around, trying not to fuck you every time you bend over. If you don’t need that space, though, I’ll take that note and run with it.”

My face was almost painfully hot.

“We didn’t have sex.”

He grinned. “Mmm. Imagine how I’ll feel once I get my dick inside you.”

I cleared my throat as the sinking feeling of stupidity sank in.

“Can we pretend I never said anything? I’m just the nanny. It’s not like y’all owe me your time or anything. I was just being—”

“Shut up.” Leon gripped my butt even lower and let his fingers press into my sex. “You’re not just the nanny. Help me with my bike or go to bed. Your choice.”

I nodded at his bike.

“Just for a little bit.”
