My heart thumps, and I’m sure Kip can hear it beating, and feel my pulse speeding up. He squeezes my hand and shoots me a smile.
“Are you ready?” Kip asks.
I nod. Even though I’m scared, I’m sure. “I want eternity with you, Kip. Might as well do it now while I’m still young and hot.” I add on, trying to make a joke of it to calm my nerves.
“Even if you were old, wrinkly, saggy and grey, I’d still want forever.” Kip says honestly.
I snort. “I know. But I’d rather be like this forever.”
“I love you, Charlie.” Kip says, reaching to open the front door.
“I love you too, Kip. Forever and a day.”
