“Hey.” I smile at him, getting up off the reformer to give him a hug. He seems taken aback, but doesn’t resist, wrapping his arms around me.
“Hey, Scar.”
“How are you feeling today?" Pulling away, I bring my hand to his shoulder, softly massaging against the tissue, a rumble forming in his chest.
“A lot better, actually.” His voice is almost a breathy moan as I dig my fingers into the muscle.
“Good. Let’s get started then.” I step back, gesturing toward the reformer before I continue. “Bicep curls. So, kneel on the carriage facing the back of the room.”
Levi ambles onto the carriage, settling into position before awaiting his next instruction. I tilt my head to contemplate him for a second. “Would you like to work both arms today?”
His brows furrow as he considers my words before nodding slowly. “Yeah, I think that sounds good.”
“Okay, so grab the loops off the posts then. Hands reaching straight out in front, elbows up in line with your shoulders.” I move in front of him to softly adjust his arms into position.
“From here, inhale to prepare. And exhale, bend through your elbow, curling your hand towards your shoulder. Don’t let those elbows drop too far.”
Levi follows my instruction, gritting his teeth as he completes the movement and controlling as he releases. “Really nice, Levi. Does that feel okay?”
He gives me a small nod before he inhales and exhales going into the next rep. I keep spotting him, keeping an eye out for any change in his body language that tells me he might be uncomfortable.
“Go for three more, then we’ll move into some rows.”
He finishes off his last few reps before sinking down to relax, and I let him breathe for a second before cueing him into his next exercise.
“We’re going into some narrow rows now. Reach your hands out in front. Inhale to prepare, and as you exhale bend through your right elbow, making sure you keep it tight into your side. Rotating through your chest, get a good squeeze through your shoulder blade at the top.” I watch him intently through the motion.
“Good. Don’t let that resting arm drop, though.”
He controls as he releases. “Next rep.”
He inhales, then exhales, bending through his left elbow, rotating through the chest and squeezing at the top before slowly releasing.
“Amazing, Levi. Really good.” He continues through the next reps, staying nice and strong and he’s looking really, really good. It shouldn’t be too much longer until he’s back on the ice.
“Three more on each side and then we’ll go into some wide rows.”
He finishes off his last few reps before he rests. His chest is heaving, a light sheen of sweat coating his skin. God, this man is so attractive it’s unfair. And all I can think about is how I want to have him back in bed. But I can’t. We need to move on.
Shaking out of my thoughts, I move us into the next exercise. “For our wide rows, again, reach your hands out in front. Inhale,now when you exhale, as you bend through your elbow, we want to flare it out wide.”
I slide my hand beneath his right elbow as he moves into the row. He falters slightly a little, his arm trembling, so I steady my grip to help him through the movement.
“Really nice, Lev.” I keep my voice soft. “Keep going.”
I keep spotting him as his movements gradually grow more and more shaky, but he pushes through it.
“You’re doing great, Levi. A few more. Keep it up.”
He grunts on his next rep, and then I know it’s time to wrap it up.
“Good. Finishing off that last one. Then we’ll stretch.”
Levi finishes off his last rep and I take the straps from him, putting them away.
We stay silent as I lead him through a slow stretch, Levi’s breaths still shaky.
Once we finish up, I sidle up next to him, bringing my hands to his shoulders, rubbing them softly.
