“Th-thank you.”

He tormented them until she was writhing against him in sweet agony, begging him to ease the tension inside her. Lowering her to the bed, he continued to kiss her body.

“Are you going to kiss me there?”

“I am. Is that acceptable to you?” He looked up her body to where she braced herself on her arms.

“Oh yes, Aggie said this was quite exquisite.”

“My God, you are a wonderful woman.” Leaning up, he kissed her hard and then slid down between her open legs. He stroked the soft damp folds with his tongue, and she shuddered. Parting her, he found the tight bead between her thighs and tormented that too. He didn’t let up teasing, licking, and kissing until she begged him for release. Only then did he ease his fingers inside her and give it to her.

“Let go, sweetheart. I am here to catch you.”

She did on a soft moan, and Zach stayed where he was until her last tremor had eased. He then climbed back up her body.

“Make me yours, Zach. I want you to be part of me.”

He braced himself over her and gently slid home.

“So tight and wet. I don’t want to hurt you,” he gritted out.

“Never.” She wrapped her legs around him and dug her heels into his buttocks. With a grunt, he seated himself deeper inside her.

“Mary.” His whisper was reverent. “I love you.”

“So much,” she said against his lips. “Almost too much.”

“Never that,” Zach said, easing out of her body and back in. “Our love is just the right amount.”

It cost him a great deal to take her gently, but he would not hurt her this first time. Never would he hurt her, he amended.

“It is wonderful,” she whispered.

“It is,” he managed to get out and then no more words were needed. He thrust into her again and again until Zach’s back arched, and her cry was muffled in his shoulder. They both then scaled the summit of pleasure together. As they would always be.

CHAPTERTHIRTY-TWO

“What are you doing?”

Mary was nearly at the bottom of the church stairs when Zach asked her that question. He’d been waiting for her to appear down the aisle, but she hadn’t, and the guests were growing restless. Not him, he knew his girl would be there, but something was holding her up.

He’d slipped out, telling Gabe he needed a moment. She was walking down the rear stairs in her wedding dress. She stopped and turned to look at him, and a smile lit her beautiful face.

“I will be there shortly, Zach. I just need to have a word with Monty. He sent me a note you see, as he had something to give me.”

“Now, at this particular moment, when there is a church full of guests awaiting our nuptials behind us?”

He continued on down the stairs to where she stood, stunning in cream satin and lace that he would very much enjoy removing later. The bodice was low, because she knew that drove him insensible with lust, and the sleeves and bodice fitted. A lace overdress covered the satin. Her golden hair was pinned in place, and a simple wreath of flowers was settled on her curls.

She’d told him she never wanted to wear a veil again.

“You look stunning, my love. I would really like to marry you soon.” Zach slid his hand around the back of her neck and pulled her in to his body. “And I would rather you did not go anywhere alone after receiving a note.”

“But it is Monty.”

“As is evidenced by my forgery of Geraint’s signature, we know how easy that can be done.”

“Oh, very well.” Her blue eyes ran over him. “You look handsome.”
