God, how I caught this man’s eye is beyond me.

“As soon as my muscles start working again, I promise to get you dessert,” he says, his voice cracking as he huffs out a laugh.

“Did I break you?” I tease, brushing his hair out of his eyes.

“Oh yes. I’m broken for anyone else,” he confesses, making my lips part in surprise. “Silva, I’ve been waiting to ask you out for a long time. I just didn’t know if you were ready for me.”

“Will I ruin the moment if I say I’m ready but may fuck this up at some point?” I ask softly.

“We’re human, baby. We’ll figure it out. Talk to me, though. I haven’t mastered the art of reading minds.”

I hiss as I feel him pull out of my cunt, and he winces apologetically.

“I’ll be right back,” he says, walking to the bathroom to get rid of the condom.

Syrus comes back with a wet cloth, and I’m not sure what he’s doing until he pulls open my legs to clean me up. It’s warm and it feels really good since I’m sore.

“Let me pull off the bedspread and we’ll hang out in bed while we recover,” he murmurs.

Since the blanket is pretty soaked, I get up, watching as he pulls it off and drops it in a corner along with the cloth. Getting under his sheets, I watch as he walks out, probably for brownies and ice cream.

Laying against the pillows, I go over the last couple of hours, amazed that the sun is already down.

“I warmed it up a little,” Syrus says, climbing back into bed with bowls of dessert. “Want to watch a movie?”

Yeah, this is the best date I’ve ever been on, not to mention my first ever.

“Sure,” I reply, taking a bite of brownie with some ice cream. I moan as the cocoa hits my taste buds. It’s fudgey, soft, and the coolness of the vanilla ice cream is perfect. “Wow.”

“Make sex noises like that, and I’ll just keep having to feed you,” he teases, turning on the television and finding a movie.

I glance at him because it’s one of my favorites, and he shrugs.

“You Got Mailis a movie you like, right?” he asks.

“Stalker,” I laugh. “Also, please don’t threaten me with a good time. This brownie is amazing.”

“I’ll feed you any time, Spitfire,” he grins.

Snuggling beside me, we watch Meg Ryan sass Tom Hanks.

Best date ever.

Islept in my own bed last night, but Syrus pulled one of his hoodies over my head since I forgot a jacket. I’ll never admit this, but I really wanted his need to take care of me to push him to give away an article of clothing. I fell asleep naked in it, and I only had one little nightmare instead of being plagued with them.

Yawning widely, I sit up and toss off my sheets. I know Syrus wanted to ask me to spend the night, but I don’t want him to know how much I struggle to sleep. There’s no guarantee that I wouldn’t wake up screaming if I slept with him.

Sighing, I get up to start my day. The town rec center asked me to help out with their toddler time. I’m not sure why I’m the one who’s called for this stuff, but I suspect that it’s because I tend to work nights.

I’ll have to watch my mouth, but it’s really a bunch of kids running around a toddler sized gymnasium with some supervision. I’ve helped out before, even though it makes me think about tiny people who might look like me. That’s neverbeen in the cards for me before, and it’s still too early to be thinking like that.

Dragging myself to the shower, I go through my routine, get dressed in a pair of leggings, a short sleeved shirt, and tennis shoes. I wrap Syrus’ hoodie around my waist because Colorado weather is a rollercoaster throughout the day, and jog downstairs to make myself coffee and a bagel with cream cheese.

My phone rings as I finish, and I answer it as I walk to the sink to clean my dishes. It’s almost ten in the morning, which means I need to get moving.
