We look hot as hell. The skin-tight dress that Ellie has on shows off her curves. I opted for a little black dress that hugs my body in ways that should be illegal. I’m not one to boast about my body, but I do keep in shape, and right now I’m grateful for that.
“I don’t know about this,” Ellie says as we walk closer to the clubhouse. I can feel the music pulsing from here.
“It’s fine. We can leave anytime,” I tell her.
“Yeah, right. You’re not leaving until tomorrow morning when he kicks you out of his bed,” she tells me, causing me to laugh.
“It’ll be fun. Just relax.”
“Will is on standby if shit goes south,” she tells me. I nod my head. Will is one of her best friends who also happens to be a cop in a few cities over. Not that he stays within the law, I know he doesn’t. He’s as shady as the rest of them, but it’s also good to know that he has our back if we need it.
“Good. We’ll be fine then,” I tell her once more.
We walk the rest of the way to the clubhouse and up to the door. There’s a small line to get in, and it almost makes me laugh. It’s like a goddamn club.
When it’s our turn, the man standing at the door eyes us up and down.
“Couldn’t hide a weapon in those dresses if you wanted to,” he says, taking us in.
“Why would we want to?” I ask.
“You wouldn’t. Go ahead,” he says, nodding toward the door. And just like that, we’re in.
We walk in, and I take it all in. Half-naked girls dance around the room, guys talk, laugh, and drink. Some are making out with the girls, some straight up fucking them in the corner. Ellie grabs my arm and nods toward one corner where a girl is getting fucked while another guy is down her throat.
“Hot damn.”
“Don’t tell me you like that,” she says over the music.
“I wouldn’t be opposed to that,” I admit to her.
“Just look for Patch,” she says, reminding me of why we’re here. We make our way around the club, but I don’t see him anywhere, so we head over to the bar and grab a few drinks.
Ellie leads me across the room and against a back wall, where we stand and take in the scene.
“This is insane,” she says.
“It’s more than I thought it would be.”
“It’s crazy. There are so many people, how are you going to find him?”
I shrug my shoulders because she’s right. There are so many people in here that it’s going to be hard to find him. There are so many people, and despite this being such a big place, it is filled to the max.
We stand in the back against the wall for a little while when one of the guys asks me to dance. I figure what the hell, it can’t hurt.
I follow him to the middle of the room, and his hands land on my hips. The bass is pumping through the speakers as we move to the beat. It doesn’t take long for me to get into the song. He doesn’t say anything, just keeps dancing when I feel hands slide around my waist. I feel the warmth of a hard body behind me, but I don’t bother to turn and look to see who it is. I don’t really care.
The three of us dance like this, closer than before, when the music changes. I sway my hips when lips come down on my neck.
“You’re lookin’ for me,” he says, and I know that voice. It’s Patch.
“Maybe,” I say loud enough he can hear me. Then everything changes. He spins me to face him, his hands gripping my face a little harder than is comfortable.
“What the hell do you want? Why are you lookin’ for me?” Anger dances in his eyes, and everything I thought I was going to say or do has gone to shit.
“I had fun last night.”
“And that’s the reason you found out where I’d be?”
