Kade’s hand slid from my neck down to my waist, pulling me against him until the hard line of his thigh was between mine. His tongue lathered the sensitive claiming spot on my neck. He was scenting me, even as Dane’s growl vibrated in my ear.

“Not much,” I fibbed, my breath hitching as Kade’s hand moved higher, his palm flat against my stomach.

“Are you lying to Daddy?” Dane growled, calling my bullshit. Kade’s teeth left my throat, but he didn’t pull away. He’d heard the word Daddy from the other side. He stiffened for a heartbeat, then relaxed.

“Mm…” I hummed, caught between two Alphas—one on the line, and the other in front of me.

“Babygirl…” Dane warned, and my inner Omega brat preened.

“I’ve lost count of how many jello shots, but I stopped counting at 12… and I’m definitely too fucked to drive to you,” I said cheekily as Kade sucked on my neck.

“Send me the address,” Dane ordered. I blinked at the dead screen, the ‘Call Ended’ notification mocking me. He didn’t waitfor an answer; he assumed I’d obey. Kade didn’t give me time to process it. He leaned down.

“You heard the man, Lumberjack,” he murmured against my ear, his hand sliding from my stomach down to the apex of my thighs. His thumb was so close, a silent challenge. “Tell him where you are. Tell him to come watch.” I inhaled sharply, and the impossible happened. A flicker of something sweet and dark cut through the static of my senses. It was faint, a ghost of a smell, chocolate and cherries. It was mischief.

I gasped, my eyes flying open. But that couldn’t be right.I can’t smell.

“Who was that?” he whispered, his grip tightening. “Because you sound like you belong to him, but youfeellike you belong to me.”

Before I could answer, my phone dinged. A Snarl notification from Dane.

Dane: Address, Babygirl.

The words on the screen were a command, not a request. My fingers trembled slightly against the glass as I typed back.

Me: What do you need it for?

Dane: You’re too intoxicated to come to me, so I’m coming to you.

My stomach churned with a mix of excitement and terror. Before I could process it, another line popped up.

Dane: You know I don’t like waiting.

Me: I don’t know it. Give me a second.

I pushed off the wall, leaving the heat of Kade’s body, and moved toward Hunter to get the address. Kade didn’t move fromhis spot, but his gaze followed me, cutting through the kitchen noise. He watched as I ignored Paul’s suspicious glare.

“Who is it?” Hunter asked.

“A friend,” I answered, trying to keep my voice steady.

“A man friend?” he asked, his brow arched with a look that felt suspiciously like judgment.

“Yes,” I laughed, the jello shots making me bold. Kade materialized by my side, his energy shifted, sharper, darker. He rested his arm on my shoulder, claiming me in front of the group. He typed in the address and I sent it.

“He’s hot,” Hunter said approvingly.

“Is he hung?” Paul added with a provocative wink.

I ignored the prickle of jealousy, but Kade picked up on it. He buried his nose in my hair, inhaling deep enough that I felt the heat of it against my scalp.Dane was mine.

“I guess you’ll have to wait and see,” I teased, looking at the door.

Kade led me into the living room, where the air was a thick, humid haze of sweat and expensive perfume. The music was a physical heartbeat, thumping hard as he grabbed the hem of my plaid shirt. He pulled me until my body was flushed against his. His hands slid down my hips, gripping my waist.

He didn’t just dance; he claimed the space. Kade moved with that same dangerous, lazy grace, his hands sliding from my waist to the small of my back, pulling me flush against his hard torso. As he moved against me, it hit me. He didn’t care about the beat. He was setting his own.

“Are you still thinking about him?” Kade whispered, his lips grazing the shell of my ear, sending a jolt straight to my core. When I didn’t answer, he spun me around, my back hitting his chest, his arms winding around my waist like a vice. “The one on the phone, who thinks he owns the air you breathe.”
