Fale: All day. I’m meeting up with friends, but should be back tonight.
Me: Sounds good. Have fun and be safe!
Fale: I will.
Me: Don’t forget the pull out method doesn’t work. Wrap it up!
Fale: Ew! We arenothaving this conversation.
Me: We kinda are lol
Fale: I won’t be like Mom and Dad.
Me: I know. Have fun, kid.
Fale: You too! I’ll keep you updated.
Exiting out of her chat, I clicked on Uriel’s Snarl.
Me: Hey, you.
Uriel: Uri. You have to say it back.
Me: Good morning, Uri. lol
Uriel: Come over tonight.
Me: And do what?
Uriel: Watch a movie.
Me: Mm… is that it?
Uriel: Scout’s honor.
Me: You were a boy scout?
Uriel: No.
Me: LMFAO That doesn’t count then.
Uriel: I’ll make it fun for you.
He wanted to Betflix and Chill. My day had just started and it was already rough. I wanted Dane, but I was scared I would give him parts of me I wasn’t ready to give yet. Uriel was sweet. He was also honest. If I had questions, he would answer them. That voice chastised me, saying Dane would answer questions too, but I ignored her. I typed out my reply before I could change my mind.
Me: Okay. Send me your address.
Amazing
I threw the car in reverse and peeled out of the garage, leaving the oppressive silence of the house behind. My fingers were trembling against the wheel, my leg bouncing aggressively, and my heart begging me to turn around. I ignored the Omega instincts throwing a fit about meeting other men.
Once I hit the main road, I pulled out my phone and punched in the directions to Uriel’s. The sun was setting, and soon I’d be shrouded by darkness. Other than my ex’s family home, I’d never gone to a man’s house before. I hated the nerves fluttering in my gut. The streetlights flickered on, the world passing by in a blur as my nightmare played on repeat in my mind.
I didn’t care if it tainted my soul; I just wanted to be fucked until I forgot the phantom grip on my throat OR until I forgot.
The neighborhood was quiet when I arrived. My throat dried as I parked on a hill. I made it. Trapped between messaging him and turning back, I sat in the car. Before I could chicken out, I exited out of the navigation and let him know I was outside. He told me to come to the front door, and my heart raced.
There were multiple cars in the driveway, and for a second, I worried I was going to meet his parents. I fought the sudden urge to reverse out. I laughed quietly to myself as I unbuckled and climbed out, locking the door before heading toward the house. Not a single light was on inside, but when the dooropened and Uriel flashed me a small, welcoming smile. A sense of relief washed over me—one I had no business feeling.
