There isn’t any reason to wait when we both know what we want, so I dive into her pussy. She shivers, and I put one of her legs over my shoulder, giving myself the leverage I need.

Sable is so sweet, I devour her. My tongue slides across every inch of her, tasting every dip and fold before focusing on her clit. She starts to pant and whine as I apply deep and steady pressure. I’d do this every day for the rest of my life if she let me. Her breathing speeds, and I marvel that a woman getting regularly fucked by five men can come so easily when we’re constantly using her body. One day, I will see how many orgasms it takes to wring her dry. She comes on my tongue, wet, hot, and delicious. I lap her through it, savoring just how sweet she gets in orgasm.

I try to lift my head to get a good look at her, but before I can, she pulls me in again with the leash, forcing my face against her hot, wet cunt.

“More,” she moans. “I know you’re hungry, Lex.”

Fuck me, I’m starved.

She pulls my hair with her free hand, and I lap her clit. She moans as she grinds her hips against my face. Once I thought there was nothing hotter than Sable under my control, but it’s so clear her prime place is showing us exactly what she wants. Listening to her cues, I take another orgasm quickly. Her blue eyes roll back, and she gasps so hard I imagine her world is spinning. I’d ask, but she still doesn’t let me go, and I’m enjoying the way her arousal drips down my chin. My tongue keeps moving, enjoying the softness of her cunt around my face.

The leash feels fucking right where it is, and I keep kissing the prettiest pussy I’ve ever seen, driving her to a peak again and again. Each orgasm comes quicker than the previous. Sable’s knees have melted under her, and I’m keeping her standing with my grip on her thighs and sheer force of will. Before she drops, I take her in my arms and drape her over my shoulder and down my back.

She’s exhausted, so I bring her to my bed and lay her down. A small smile plays on her lips until her eyes close in a peaceful sleep. I tongued her into a coma, and I’m quite pleased with myself. So when I get a knock on my door, I don’t worry too much.

Parker comes in as soon as I open it, his eyes fly to Sable, before he even glances at me. Hadrian follows him with a weird look on his face, and when I’m about to close the door, the twins come in.

“What the fuck?” I whisper-shout. “Why doesn’t everyone just come on in?” I ask sarcastically.

“Hadrian texted saying it’s important,” Soren says.

“Couldn’t wait for the morning?” I ask, genuinely pissed off at the idea of disturbing Sable now. I know better than any of them that she needs her rest and is far from fully healed.

Hadrian shakes his head and lifts an envelope between his fingers. “He left her a letter.”

“Who left me what?” she asks from behind me.

I curse them all, but I try to keep it in when I turn to Sable, who’s completely awake, hair tousled, and white sheets covering her body. All five of us say nothing, and I’m not sure whether it’s because she’s too pretty and we are stunned, or because something is really wrong.

“Since Nina came back, we had to send a few people out to investigate her claims,” Parker says.

“You don’t trust her?” Sable asks.

“Do you?” I narrow my eyes at Sable.

She shakes her head. Okay, at least we’re on the same page. Parker continues, “When that policeman came here with all those questions, I knew he was in the four family’s back pocket, so I started to dig there. The people dealing with your father’s investigation.”

“They definitely have more than they gave us, but this didn’t come cheap,” Hadrian says, handing her the envelope. “This letter is for Nina,” he says, with a look that says to limit her expectations.

Sable winces at the name. If there was any doubt that Nina told the truth about being a Briarwick, this is the final confirmation. Sable turns the letter and finds it opened. “You opened it?”

“The cops did, but I read it. I wouldn’t let him fuck around with you even from the grave.” Parker shrugged.

She nods. She really knows how crazy we are for her, and opening her mail is not even close to the worst we would do to keep her safe. I hold my breath at the same time she takes afortifying one. The paper slides out of the envelope, and she flips it open.

CHAPTER 71

SABLE

Dear Nina,

I’m sorry that you’re finding out about my death this way, but I’m happy that I’m sparing at least one daughter. I’m glad you don’t carry the Briarwick’s curse on your shoulders. It’s been a long way here, many years in this war earned us a curse, and on days like this, I almost believe it’s true. We might be cursed like they say.

I met Meredith at Bellthorn. She was clever and beautiful. I thought she was just one of the many rich girls in the school, but soon I found out that nothing was so simple around Meredith. The Colefaxes were one of the founding families and pushed out after many generations without a male heir. Meredith wasn’t like the other girls inBellthorn. She wanted revenge more than anything, and I was soon involved in her scheme.

I met your mother that same summer. She gave me another life, one that wasn’t about revenge, and I was powerless against what she had to offer me. I was weak. I was weak when I decided to marry Meridith, and I was weak when I kept seeing your mother anyway.

Neither our marriage nor Sable’s birth changed anything for Meridith. If anything, having a girl made it even more important to destroy the four families. We promised each other to never send Sable to Bellthorn, but that wasn’t enough for her.
