I keep walking towards Guillermo’s office and notice a wet floor sign to my left. I step around it. Probably some staff member is cleaning the marble floor.

He’s standing at the entrance of his office waiting for me, and after I enter, his hand goes to the small of my back.

“What happened to her?”

He locks the door, and before answering, he picks me up, walking over to the couch. “I transferred her.”

“Because of me? Because of what happened yesterday?”

“No, I had already considered the change. Yesterday just expedited the decision. Now, let’s talk about us.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

He takes my mouth in a kiss that makes me think of New Year’s fireworks.

“You’re not playing fair,” I accuse as soon as I can breathe again.

“Just refreshing your memory. Why did you run away from me today?”

“Your brother is a little intimidating.”

“You weren’t afraid of him.”

“How can you tell?”

“Because you managed to deal with an abusive boss in that cafeteria for six months.”

“You’re right. I left because I was embarrassed.”

“Because of me?”

“Because of everything. This morning, things seemed different.”

“Why?”

“I don’t want to be the type of woman who has an affair with her boss. That was the first reason I left.”

“And the other?”

“I couldn’t work in the same clothes as yesterday. I needed to go to my room,” I say, feeling my face heat up. “There was something I didn’t have.”

He presses his mouth to my ear. “What was that, beautiful?”

“You know what.”

“I don’t.”

I can see the satisfied smile on his face, and I want to hit him. Guillermo doesn’t fool me.

“You ruined my panties.”

“Do you know how much hearing you say that turns me on? Now all I can think about is our candy play.”

I feel his erection beneath my bum.

“As for the first thing you said: I’ve never been involved with an employee, if that’s what you’re thinking.”

I pull back to look at him, and it doesn’t take me long to be sure he’s telling the truth. Guillermo isn’t the type who would need to lie to get a woman. He doesn’t have that flirtatious or charming style. I can clearly see the difference between how he treats me and how he acts with the other secretaries.
