Ace stalked toward him with the brothers quickly getting up from the table and following him.

“What the fuck is going on?” Cross asked.

He was about to explain when he heard her tiny, whispered voice. “Someone is at the front door.”

All the blood drained from his face, and his heart pounded. He shifted his gaze to Cypher standing a few feet away.

“Pull up the fucking cameras on her house.”

Cypher grabbed his phone, tapping the screen.

“Cleo?” He tried to calm his tone for her sake. “Don’t open the door. You still in your room?”

“I’m in the hallway,” she said, and her breath labored. “They’re knocking, Wraith.”

Fuck!

“Reyna,” Cypher said, and Wraith jerked his head. Cypher was staring down at his phone, and his brows dipped tightly. “Fuck.” He glanced up. “There’s someone at her backdoor too.”

Wraith didn’t hesitate, and he stormed out of the clubhouse, key in hand when he reached his bike. All the members filed out, and a loud rumbling of engines echoed. It would take less than ten minutes.

“Listen to me. Reyna’s at the door, and you got someone at the back. No matter what she fucking says,do notopen the door.”

“O-oaky.” Her tone was laced in fear, and his blood heated through his veins.

Wraith mounted his bike and fired up the engine.

“I’m coming right now.”

“Why the fuck isn’t the old man answering?” Ace shouted with his phone to his ear.

Grizz.

Wraith backed up his bike. “Listen to me. Go back in your room, lock the door and barricade it.”

“But the girl…”

“No,” he snapped. “You don’t know her!”

Wraith was thinking of a million scenarios, and none of them good. This sounded like an elaborate set up to get to Cleo. And it fucking worked.

“We’re coming right now.”

“Wraith.” She gasped. “I think I just heard a gunshot.”

Fuck!

Chapter Twenty-Four

Cleo probably should’ve listened to Wraith’s orders, but her gut instinct was telling her this girl wasn’t involved. The last thing Cleo wanted was her to get hurt any more than she’d already been. She tiptoed down the hall to the opening of the living room. When the soft knock echoed, she froze, staring at the door. Slight movement to her left caught her attention. The girl had moved from the couch and was huddled in the corner, shaking.

“Cleo? It’s me, Reyna.”

Cleo immediately lifted her finger to her lips, silencing the girl. Her eyes were wild with fear and welling. Did she know Reyna? This is bad.

“Come on, girl, open up. It’s cold out here.”

Her stomach twisted, but she didn’t move a muscle. When she heard a second loud gunshot in the distance, she jumped and spun around to the end of the hall. The light from her bedroom shined over the back door, and she zoned in on the lock, which was slowly shifting. Her heartbeat pounded in her chest, and she ran to the end of the hall. She’d have only a few seconds once it was unlocked.
