I drop to my knees as I pull out the broken pieces of the camera, turning them over in my hand. This is her life, her dream. She loves nothing more than taking pictures I can’t believe someone has destroyed it.

“Fuck,” Nitro spits as he enters her room, walking around surveying the damage. I glance up and him. “Wrath?” he asks as he looks down at me.

“I can’t lose her Kai.” Tears suddenly begin to fall from my eyes. “Fuck, I fell in love with her. I don’t know when it happened, it just did.”

He blows out a breath as he drops to his knees in front of me. Grabbing me he pulls me into him, wrapping his arm around me. “I know you love her man. I’ve known since the first time I saw you with her. You won’t lose her, Ty, we’ll do whatever it takes to find her and bring her back, but right now brother I need you to hold it together. I need you to be Wrath.”

Chapter

Forty-Four

It’s been ten days since she was taken, and we’ve found nothing. Brothers from Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and Glasgow rode down five days ago to help us look.

We’ve ridden over every inch of this fucking city, knocking down any door we think can help us, chasing any lead we’re given, no matter how flimsy it may be. We’ve barely slept. I can’t sleep knowing she’s out there, every time I close my eyes, I see her face.

I miss her. Fuck, do I miss her.

The guilt of pushing her away weighs heavily on me and I don’t think I’ll ever forgive myself. The opportunity to push her away presented itself and I took it. They used my fucking phone to make sure that she had nobody watching her. And then used it to make it seem like I was making plans for her to be kidnapped. They made it look like I wanted her gone, wanted her hurt. If I hadn’t pushed her away, and drank myself into a fucking stupor, I wouldn’t have given them the opportunity to take my phone.

We know it’s someone in the clubhouse. Data tracked the movements of my phone, and it never left the grounds the entire time those messages were being sent.

I eye every single person in the club with suspicion. Nitro cleared Data, Ice, Tongue, Doc, Blades, Maria and Georgia-Rae along with three of the club girls Candy, Lou and Heidi. Prospect was cleared, the messages alone clear him, but he was also on CCTV at the club helping to clear up.

I’m still new here so I’m still getting to know some of the members. I thought I had most of them figured out. But, as I sit in the corner of the room watching Gears and Tank enter the room, I find myself wondering if they could be in on it. They both look my way and give me a shake of their heads. They were on a run last night chasing up a lead that we weren’t expecting it to go anywhere. Clearly, we were right, but now I’m sat here wondering if they are leading us astray. I’m so lost in my thoughts I don’t realise anyone is approaching until I’m clipped across the back of the head.

“We cleared them,” Nitro takes a seat beside me, Ice on my other side and Data next to him. I look to Nitro for more information.

“Turns out they were at the strip club, sharing a dancer backstage.” He rolls his eyes and sits back in his seat.

“The longer she’s gone, the more I lose hope,” I admit to my brothers. None of them respond because they feel it too. The longer we go without information, the less likely it is we’ll find her.

Just then the doors to the main room fly open and Tongue and Blades come rushing toward us, the room goes silent, and I stand from my seat.

Tongue smirks, but Blade speaks.

“Knuckles just called, their lead gave us info, apparently she’s down to be on a ship tomorrow to Puerto Rico and then to be transferred from there, but the guy doesn’t know where.”

My legs begin to buckle but Tongue grabs me, holding me.

“We need to head to the docks,” he tells me, and I shake my head in confusion.

“We’ve been told she’s being held in a warehouse down there. Let’s go get your girl.”

The room descends into chaos as brothers from every other Chapter and ours rise from their seats, grabbing their shit and racing out the door to their bikes.

I take a minute to hang back. I need to catch my breath.

I need to be strong because if it’s not her or she’s hurt, I’m not sure how I’ll cope.

“How about you shelve that worry until we know if she’s there or not,” Nitro says tapping me on the back, finally getting me moving in the direction of the door. And hopefully toward my girl.

Chapter

Forty-Five

I don’t know how long I’ve been here for. Days, at least, and the small light coming in through the window at the top of the wall lets me know that it’s been at least a day since I last saw a person. It was getting dark when they left. I’d drifted in and out of sleep throughout the night. Then I saw flickers of the sun coming through the window, but it’s dark again now. Pitch dark. I’ve never been afraid of the dark. Until now. I know I can’t stay here. Who knows when they’ll be back. I have to at least try and escape.

I gently tug on my wrists, testing the tightness of the ropes they have around them; I hiss inwardly as they scratch across my already raw skin. I take a few deep breaths, stealing myself for what I have to do, and shift my body slightly, sliding it a little to my left and the edge of the mattress.
