“You wish. I’m just here for the weekend to pick up my car. How are you both?”

“We’re good. We just wanted to thank you for your help a few weeks back.” Knuckles gives me a pointed look and I give him a small smile in return.

There’s a small part of me that feels guilty, while I know they’ll never admit having anything to do with it, Peter Nelson went missing two days after I gave these guys information in him. I chose to do it freely. They explained to me why they were looking for him. One of the old women who Nelson attacked was the grandmother of one of the brothers.

I chose to give them the information knowing full well what would happen. But that doesn’t change the small pang of guilt I feel knowing that I had something to do with it. It’s only a small feeling of guilt though. I’m sure whatever happened to Nelson he had it coming. Knuckles smiles and then turns and leaves, Brick gives me a wink and then follows his brother out of the door.

Chapter

Twenty-Six

“We followed him as far as Epsom, thought we’d have him cornered but we lost him in traffic.” Ice dips his head in disappointment. He’d been chasing one of the Poisoned Devils through London since last night. This was his first official act since taking over as Sergeant at Arms, so I can understand why he feels so disappointed by this.

“You did good to track him as far as you did, brother. We’ll figure out where these fuckers are hiding. Mark my words,” Nitro states, his eyes focused on Ice, a few seconds later Ice raises his head and gives Nitro a nod letting him know that he heard him, but his eyes hold the truth. He feels like he failed.

“Tongue, I want you out there tonight with a prospect. I want to know where these fuckers are going and where they’ve been. If there’s nothing else?” Nitro asks before casting his eyes around the table, we all shake our heads, and he lifts the gavel before slamming it down on the table.

We make our way out of church grabbing our phones from the locker outside the door, I follow Ice over to the bar. “You ok brother?” I ask him, before holding up two fingers to the prospect. Within seconds he places three bottles of beer in front of us and I furrow my brows in confusion. He gives me a halfsmile and tilts his chin over my shoulder. I turn just in time to see Nitro stop next to us. He places a hand on Ice’s shoulder, who turns to look at him.

“Get that look off your face brother. I know you’re feeling shit right now, but you have no reason to.”

Ice sighs, “I should have located them by now. I should know where they…”

Nitro grips his shoulder and I see Ice’s body tighten with the force, though he’d never admit that his Prez’s grip is too fucking hard.

“You’re my Sergeant at Arms. I don’t expect you to be out there every night. I expect you to know who to send out and when. I expect you to know when you need rest. We gave you that position because you have proven yourself on more than one occasion; now we need you to continue with that level of skill and dedication. You didn’t catch the fucker, but you know he’s travelled as far as Epsom, which means we now know where to focus our efforts. Now wipe that miserable look off your face and drink your fucking beer.” He grins before letting go of his shoulder and reaching between us for his own.

“Yes Prez.” Ice’s mood shifts as he smiles at us both before downing half of his beer.

I pull my vibrating phone out from my pocket, flicking my finger across the screen and unlock it to see a text message from the prospect I have tailing Marissa.

Prospect – She arrived back at the flat ten minutes ago. She came back in a blue Mini Cooper.

Me – Thanks. Stay on her.

Prospect – Yes VP.

“So, she’s back then?”

Nitro may be my Prez, but I wish he’d stop reading my fucking text messages over my shoulder. I give a small nod and look up to see him and Ice watching me.

“Fucking don’t,” I bite out. Frustration eating away at me. I have no idea why I have the prospect sitting on her. I just need to know that I need to know where she is at all times.

They both start to laugh at me.

“Fuck off.” I bite out and I grab my bottle and head over to an empty table in the corner.

I sit tucked into the corner, my back tight against the wall, as I let my eyes roam around the room. There’re no families here tonight, just the brothers, and the club whores strutting around the room looking for their next prey. I haven’t engaged with any of them since I’ve been here. None of them have drawn my attention, not for their lack of trying though.

One chick Lacey, she’s a bit too fucking needy, if she’s not trying to hang off my arm, she’s trying to hang off Nitro’s or Ice’s. She’s doesn’t seem to give a shit that she looks desperate or that it’s clear she wants a fucking patch.

I see her making her way over toward Nitro and Ice at the bar. Stepping up to them, she pushes her tits into Nitro’s arm, while running and hand up his back and then sliding her other one up Ice’s thigh. I watch as Nitro looks down at her in disgust, before shoving her with his shoulder. She stumbles a little on her heels before righting herself. Her desperation evident when she turns and leans into Ice, placing her other hand on his other thigh. He shakes his head at her then stands abruptly from his stool. Nitro says something to her, and she looks suitably embarrassed before teetering off toward another couple of brothers at a table in the middle of the room.

I watch her drop to her knees and pull out the dick of one of my brothers, before wrapping her mouth around it. She tilts herhead slightly, and reaches for the other brothers’ pants, pulling his dick out and wrapping her hand around it. The brothers seem to be enjoying it, but I shudder at the thought of her being anywhere near me.

I hear Nitro groan and look up to see him turn away from the scene in the centre of the room before taking a seat at my table followed by Ice who places three more bottles of beer down.

“You know, if you pull your head out of your arse you could have a hot blonde on her knees in front of you.”
