The call ended and she sat silently staring at the wall.On the table was her Technician laptop, her personal phone, planner, and her Technician phone.Reluctantly, she picked it up and pressed one to call Azrael.
“State your need,” the voice of said.
“A passport for a honeymoon in Italy,” Helen said.“Plus, a week off to go on said honeymoon.”
“Travel dates?”
“Waiting on confirmation of booking for the event, but mid-June,” she said softly.“My mind is kind of all over the place today.”
“Talk to me.Start at the top,” Azrael said.
“Wedding planning is a distraction, but I'm trying to get a hotel with a spa and a pool so folks can spend a day or so and decompress,” Helen said.
“Thoughtful,” Azrael said.“What else?”
“Apple will be here over the weekend,” Helen said.
Azrael sighed in boredom into the line, “Why?”
“Father and son weekend trip with the man's 9 to 5; Mustang is taking the kid canoeing, and Apple is doing some wiring in my new office building,” Helen added.“Honestly, Mustang doesn't want me home alone, considering the tracking issue, which is understandable.”
“Also, considerate.What are you asking?”
“Not sure if I need to ask permission or just make some shit happen and ask for forgiveness,” Helen said.“I found patterns.I know things.I can make some things happen quickly, but it is your backyard.I don't want to get dis-invited from future cookouts.”
“Hmm, keep me posted as you move along.I'm not here only simply bounce ideas off, Cranberry.I am an Archangel.I too know a great deal, see even more, and can move resources in place when needed,” Azrael said.
“Boss, I'm about to fuck some shit up for Swallowtail,” Helen said.“Imma need those resources.”
“Noted,” Azrael said, ending the call.
Helen sat in her emotions, suddenly understanding why Cherry opted to not have Slow as a part of her life while she figured out how to do her job and be a mother.The mother part was niggling at her in the oddest way and having Oscar in the home was going to mess with her head.It was one thing to be resigned to not having a husband or a family, then suddenly both was staring her in the face.Both were in her grasp.
“The true test is going to show how I find the balance,” Helen said, looking about the home.There were projects to complete, dinner to make, and a honeymoon in Italy to plan.Suddenly, she was hit with a brilliant idea.
On a sheet of paper, she jotted down her thoughts.

WEDNESDAY ARRIVED WITHa call from Ruth and confirmation of the date and location for the celebration of the union between Helen and Mustang.It was a quarter past eight in the morning, and Ruth wanted her to tour the facility.Helen promised to be there around noon.The two-hour drive to Louisville provided ample time to go over details of the wedding and to think of the details of the planning it would take for the parties planned by Swallowtail.Food.Drink.Space.All of it mattered.
