“I told him we’d meet him in the restaurant,” Miguel replied. He leaned over to look around my body. “Hey, Robbie.”
Robbie snorted. “Hey, Miguel. Good to see you again.”
“Same.” Miguel stepped away from me and took my wandering hand in his. “Somebody’s feeling frisky.”
“I can’t help it,” I murmured. “You’re so hot.”
He smiled and his cheeks turned pink. Robbie rolled his eyes. “All right, you two. Let’s go have dinner. You can have dessert later.”
“Definitely. Lots of dessert,” I said.
CHAPTERTWENTY-NINE
MIGUEL
Truth be told, part of me had worried Zach would figure out that he’d really been in love with Robbie the whole time and I would be out of the picture. But Zach’s attention on me never wavered. He was happy to have Robbie back in his life, to be sure, but it was clear he only saw Robbie as a friend.
We’d just gotten our drinks when Albert walked into the dining room. He wore black skinny jeans and a crimson long-sleeved button-down. I waved to get his attention, and he sauntered over with his usual grace. He came over to me first and kissed me on the cheek. “Congratulations, darling,” he whispered in my ear. He zeroed in on Zach and said, “You already know what I’m going to say, right?”
Zach nodded. I could tell he was fighting a smile. “Don’t hurt him, or you’ll hurt me.”
“Got it in one,” Albert said with approval. His gaze then drifted over to Robbie, who’d been watching him avidly. “Now, who are you, gorgeous?”
Robbie’s face turned bright red. “Robbie.” He cleared his throat. “Robert Dalton.”
“All right, Mr. Dalton, do you prefer Robbie or Robert?”
Robbie met Albert’s gaze with a small smile. “Robbie, to my friends.”
“Well, aren’t you the sweetest thing?” Albert took the open seat, which was next to Robbie’s.
The server came over to take Albert’s drink order. After she left, Robbie said, “I saw your show last night. You were amazing.”
“Thank you, darling,” Albert replied. “And can I say I love your makeup? Did you do it yourself?”
Robbie nodded. “I’m a makeup artist.”
“Really? Where do you work?” Albert asked, leaning in closer to Robbie.
And then they were off, as I predicted. Zach and I exchanged a look, and we both smiled. “You were right,” he said.
“They’ll probably talk makeup all through dinner.” I leaned in close and whispered, “And then go to Robbie’s hotel room and fuck all night.”
Zach smothered a laugh. “You caught that too?” He lowered his voice and moved closer to my ear. He slid his hand over my thigh. “I like that idea.”
My cock plumped at the mere suggestion of having Zach’s thick cock buried inside me. “Me too,” I said hoarsely. He pressed his warm lips to the spot just behind my ear, and I shivered in anticipation of what the night would bring.
“All right, you two,” Albert said with a hint of mischief. “Save it for later.” I rolled my eyes at my best friend but sat back. Zach kept his hand on my thigh.
Dinner was lively and fun. Robbie slid right into our little group with ease. He was funny and charming as well as smart and talented. He showed us pictures of some of his work with models and Broadway actors. Albert got on him about not having a more active social media presence. Since he was a freelance social media manager when he wasn’t showcasing Darlene, he knew what he was talking about. Robbie told him he didn’t have the time or talent to do a good social media campaign.
Albert leaned into him and said, “Well then, darling, we should meet about it after dinner. I have a lot of things I can show you.”
Robbie’s cheeks were stained by a deep blush. “I’d like that. A lot.”
“That’s our cue,” I whispered to Zach.
I caught the eye of our server, and she came over to ask if we wanted anything else. “I’m good,” I said. Everyone shook their heads, so she went to get our check.
