“Of course he did. Can you take a piss without telling each other?”

“Yes, we do have some boundaries, Lev. Now fuck off. I’m working and your face is scaring the customers.”

“I'm having a word with Dima about you. He clearly doesn't spank that ass enough.”

His mouth gapes, and he is unusually quiet. A self-satisfied grin beams across my face. He didn't know that I am aware of exactly what my brother does to him. And I don't blame him. “I might suggest that we all take part, help Dima out.”

“Ha. Yeah, right. Dima would kill you,” he says.

“Well, we could find out … he does put family first. I’ll let you know what he says.” I turn to walk out before he can say anything. I wouldn't ever suggest such a thing, but it feels good to have pissed Seb off.

Leaving Starlight, I am thankful that it has stopped snowing. I head towards my truck and call Aaron. The little shit can't have gotten far. He answers right away.

“Lev,” he says.

I love the way he says my name into the phone.

“I thought I told you to wait at the bar? Get over to my house. Dima wants you to be there for an update.”

“I can't, Jake will wonder where I am and I don't want another beating, Lev,” he says.

“Aaron, get the Uber to bring you to mine now. Otherwise I will come over to yours, tie you up and carry you over my shoulder whether your stepbrother is home or not. I am your boss. So you do as you are told,” I say, making it very clear who is in charge.

“Ugh, fine.” A momentary silence is then followed by, “If I stay will you fuck me again?”

Talking to Aaron is hard work when he shifts so quickly with his train of thought. It's fucking exhausting. But, hell am I tempted to fuck him again, even though that side of our relationship needs to end. I have already done more than I usually do, plus his jealousy is beyond the realm of normal, not that anything he does is normal.

“Aaron, you know there is no more fucking. No more anything. It's done. Now get over to the house.”

“Fuck you, Lev,” he snaps and my fury rises further when he hangs up on me.

He needs some fucking discipline, but that's not my problem. It has to be this way now. Plus, after we bring Jake in, he will be free to do as he wants, get away from this town, and start anew. I try to ignore the slight ache that pinches in my stomach at the thought of not seeing Aaron again, but this is for the best. My family comes first and there is no room for anyone else. I don't need the hassle.

Chapter 25 - Aaron

Iamseethingtothe core when I arrive at Lev’s. How dare he dismiss me on the phone? The bastard. I seem to be in a constant unhinged mode when around him. At least it keeps my flitty brain on track for a change.

A guy I don't recognize opens the door as I approach. Wow, he is fine as hell. He looks like Jules, but younger. Is it his son? Doesn’t matter. I walk up to him and I am surprised he knows my name.

“Hey, Aaron. Dima is in the office waiting … is Lev not with you?” He peers over my shoulder.

“No, hopefully the asshole got stuck in the snow somewhere.”

He grins at that which only makes him even more handsome. This house is a gay man's fantasy with all these hot alpha males. “Giving you a hard time?” he teases.

“Just being a dick. What's your name?” I ask

“Oh sorry, it's Kai. I'm Jules' nephew.”

Ahh nephew, now it makes sense.

Hearing a car approach, the hair on my skin prickles. I just know it's Lev. Even his truck sounds moody.

Like a lightbulb moment, an idea hits me. Kai gives me the perfect opportunity to test my theory that Lev does want me. I’ll see if he gets as jealous as I do.

You know, the mature approach.

Loud footsteps that sound like they are on a mission, approach the door. I lean into Kai’s space, knowing that Lev can now see us as he enters the foyer. Excitement boils inside me in anticipation of pissing him off.
