"And our job is hockey," he argues back.

"Yeah, and because of me highlighting your wonderful disposition, you've gotten yourself a lucrative sponsorship deal," Collette adds.

"Fine," Sully concedes, rolling his eyes.

"Thank you is the right thing to say. Gosh, I wish the public could see you now. You're as grumpy as him." Collette looks over at Emmett.

"I don't pretend to be anything different," he says, taking a sip of his beer.

"The brooding, grumpy, mysterious vibe works. The ladies love it," Collette continues, ignoring his annoyed glares. She's clearly used to their antics. Emmett just grunts and keeps drinking his beer.

"See?" Sully says. "This is what I'm talking about. The man communicates in grunts."

"Works for me," Emmett says flatly. "I can also communicate in signs." He flips him off.

This makes me laugh. The dynamic between Emmett, who is all grumpy, and Sully, who seems to be all sunshine is fun to see. My laughter earns me a brow furrow from Emmett. He continues to sip on his beer as the conversation continuesaround us. His eyes never leave me. And I can't seem to resist the pull they have on me either.

Ineed to get out of here. I've stayed long enough and used up all my social battery. And I need to get away from her. Away from those hazel eyes. Those perfect bow lips. Her insanely toned body. One that I licked and kissed all over, committed to memory. And her laugh. The way it makes my balls tingle.

"Ready?" I ask Sully.

Sully frowns, the rest of the boys have already left. I know he's flirting with that Vi girl, but she's not coming home with him tonight. Not to my place.

"Yeah. Let me say goodbye."

He heads over to the girls, hugs Collette, then says something flirtatious, I assume, to Vi that makes her laugh and her cheeks turn pink. She hands him her phone, he puts his number in, then grins like he won the lottery before saying goodbye. He's such a player. Girls love that golden retriever vibe. I say goodbye to Pierre and Felix and thank them for a good night. I don't dare look at Joelle.I can't.

"See you Monday, with my microphone," Collette teases.

"I'll still be grunting," I tell her, which makes her laugh.

Unfortunately, Jo is seated beside her, and my eyes drift over to her. She looks away and pretends to join in on the conversation the girls are having.

Then Sully and I head out.

"Dude," Sully says. "Vi gave me her number."

"I saw."

"She's gorgeous. And sexy. Did you see her smile?"

I shake my head. "Nope."

"You're lying. Everyone saw her smile."

We reach my door, I unlock it, and we head inside. Sully drops his jacket on the couch and heads straight to my fridge. "Beer?" he asks.

"Yeah." I take a seat.

He grabs two and hands me one, we both settle on the couch.

"That was a good party," he says.

"Yeah."
