"Sorry," I tell her as I kiss her soft skin.

"Don't be. Totally worth it." She turns in my arms. "But I don't think I can do anything this morning."

"That's fine. I'm exhausted, too.”

"Really? Mr. Multiple Rounds isn't ready to go again?"

"Even I have limits." I kiss her nose. "Want to grab breakfast at the café downstairs?"

"Yes. Please. I'm starving."

"Get dressed."

She pulls on one of the outfits she’s left here, a tee and leggings for such an occasion as this. We get ready, and I throw on sweats and a tee. We head to the door and open it.

We both freeze.

Collette is standing in the hallway, still in her sparkly dress from last night, heels in her hand, hair a complete mess, makeup smudged down her face. She stops when she sees us.

All three of us just stare.

"Morning," I finally say.

"Morning," Collette says, her voice tight.

Jo looks between us. Then at her sister. "Where were you?"

"Out."

"With?”

“None of your business,” she snaps.

Okay. I am not getting in between these two. This is awkward as hell.

"I'm going to ..." She gestures to their door. "I’ll see you later.”

We watch her walk down the hall and into their apartment.

“What the hell? Who did she leave with last night?” Jo asks.

I shake my head. “No idea, I didn’t notice anything, but my eyes were on you most of the night.”

“Cute.” She smirks, then her belly rumbles.

“Let’s get you some breakfast.” I chuckle.

We are heading back to Quebec to have Christmas with Mom. I'm so excited, but also sad that I won't get to see Emmett for the next couple of days. He's off to Wisconsin with Sully, apparently, their families all have Christmas together, which is sweet.

My phone buzzes.

Emmett: Packed yet?

Joelle: Almost. You?
