“I think I can handle that,” he said with a chuckle.

Taking her hand, he turned and led her across the room to the bed, then pulled back the blankets and sheets. Jenna climbed in, excitement tingling deep in her stomach. It wasn’t like she hadn’t slept with guys before—in the literal and biblical sense—but this was different. She wasn’t sure exactly how, but it was.

Trevor moved over to the doorway to flick off the overhead light, then walked back across the darkened room. Considering she couldn’t see much of anything, she should probably have reached out and turned on the bedside lamp, but from thesound of his steady footsteps, he obviously had no problem avoiding the various obstacles she had lying around the room, including her beloved and cuddly Freddy Krueger plushie, who would probably be in her bed if it wasn’t for the much better offer she had right then.

Trevor slipped into the bed, smooth and graceful. Then he wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her close to his body again, spooning her. Not only was his chest pressing against her, but his crotch and thighs, too. As if it had a mind of its own, her butt wiggled backward, seeking as much contact as possible.

She wasn’t disappointed with the results, as her butt found a perfect sleeping spot right there against his shorts, his impressive bulge nestling comfortably against her. Like they were two pieces of the same puzzle, meant to be together.

One of his muscular arms slid under her pillow, while the one around her waist moved up to nestle comfortably beneath her breasts, warming them nicely through her tank top. In fact, he was warming her nicely all over. She was about to tell him as much when he moved slightly, burying his face in her hair, right there at the junction of her neck and shoulder. Then he inhaled deeply—purposefully—letting out an appreciative groan.

It was pretty much the sexiest thing someone had ever done to her, and her heart squeezed a littlebit in her chest at the thought that Trevor was possibly the greatest thing since liquid latex.

And considering the affinity she had for using liquid latex in her special effects makeup, that was saying something.

“Good night, Jenna,” he whispered against the skin of her neck. “Sleep tight.”

“Good night,” she whispered back, though she wasn’t sure how much sleeping she’d be getting tonight. Not that she was complaining in the slightest.

CHAPTER 6

At first, Trevor thought he was dreaming about some heavenly place that was warm, snuggly, and as fragrant as a garden full of flowers. Honeysuckles to be specific. A few seconds later, the significance of that particular scent finally filtered through his sleep-addled mind, and he woke up to find himself wrapped around Jenna like a vine, one hand under her tank top, fingertips against her middle, and his morning wood pressed firmly against that delectable butt of hers.

Part of him considered pulling back. He didn’t want to embarrass himself or Jenna if she woke up and felt his hard-on poking her in the butt. But for the life of him, he couldn’t bring himself to move. This seemed like the closest to heaven he would ever get, and his inner wolf refused to let it go.

So Trevor stayed where he was, wrapped around the most incredible woman he’d ever met, concentrating with all his might on memorizing every moment of this miraculous gift. The touch of her skin on his, her scent filling his nose, her warmth seemingly enveloping his soul.

He was on the verge of falling asleep again when a soft sigh from Jenna let him know she was wakingup. He moved back a bit so there was a little space between them, letting his right hand slide down to her hip. Then he did his best to think about something else—like how Hale’s conversation had gone with Gage—anything so he wouldn’t focus on how amazing Jenna’s body had felt against his.

She rolled over and pushed herself up on an elbow to gaze down at him sleepily, her silky hair all sleep tousled and sexy as it cascaded around her shoulders.

“Good morning,” she murmured, smiling at him as one of her hands came to rest gently on his chest. “I hope you slept well, because I definitely did.”

He grinned up at her. “Yeah, best sleep I’ve had in a long time. I didn’t even notice those cold feet you mentioned. It probably goes without saying, but just so you’re clear on the matter, anytime you want to share your bed with me, I’m wide open to the idea.”

Jenna laughed, the sound musical and bright and the most beautiful thing he’d ever heard. But then she leaned forward and kissed him, and he stopped thinking about anything.

He lifted his hand to weave his fingers in her long hair, deepening the kiss as he teased the tip of his tongue across her lips, tasting more, wanting more. The sexy moans she made sent shivers down his body all the way to his cock, which definitely perked up at the idea of where this might be going.

Getting control of himself before things could get that far, Trevor slowly let his fingers slide out of her hair, nibbling her luscious lips a few more times before pulling away. He wanted this so damn bad but had to take his time. He couldn’t screw things up by rushing it.

Jenna must have agreed with his decision to slow things down because she pulled back, too, a sexy smile tugging up the corner of her perfect lips.

“I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a little lazy this morning,” she said. “What do you say I get us some coffee and then we lie in bed for a while and maybe figure out what our plan is when it comes to finding Hannah?”

He couldn’t think of anything he’d rather do. “Sounds good to me. I don’t expect the guys to show up until late afternoon at the earliest, so we have time to come up with a plan. That way, we can hit the ground running when they do get here.”

Before he could even get his feet free of the covers, Jenna’s hand was on his shoulder, tugging him back. “You stay here and keep the bed warm. I’ll get the coffee and be back in a flash. Promise.”

Before he could protest, Jenna was climbing across his body, including the exquisite moment when she straddled his hips. That had him completely forgetting anything he might have been about to say. Not grabbing her hips to keep her right where she was turned out to be the hardest thing he’d ever done.

Or not done, he supposed.

Then Jenna was heading for the bedroom door, her butt bouncing delightfully in her shorts. How the hell had he been able to sleep cuddled up close to that ass?

Grinning, Trevor relaxed into the pillows. They still smelled of Jenna’s scent. That—along with her taste on his lips—made him wonder about what it would be like to have this for more than merely a week. He knew he was getting ahead of himself, but what was the harm in daydreaming a little bit?

He closed his eyes, listening to the sound of Jenna moving around the kitchen as she ground coffee beans, then scooped them into the machine before getting mugs out of the cabinet. She hummed while she worked, a catchy tune that took a few moments to recognize. When he finally figured it out, he chuckled. It was the theme music toHalloween. Because of course it was. What else would Jenna hum?
