He paused, his shaft hot against her inner thigh, eyes locked with hers. “Are you sure?”

He gazed down at her with a longing and intensity that would have scared her if she hadn’t been feeling the exact same thing—not just a need to be with him, but to have him…possess him…like he was something she needed to live.

Jes didn’t answer with words, instead dragging him down for a kiss at the same time her legs wrapped around his waist, pulling him closer.

They came together like two pieces of a puzzle. No fumbling or hesitancy. Just pure perfection as the head of his cock found her opening, then slid in deep, making her gasp as he filled her.

She dragged her mouth away from him so she could cry out his name, knowing it would never be like this with anyone else and terrified she didn’t understand why that was.

Jake stayed buried deep and unmoving for a few moments before slowly pulling out until only the very tip was inside her. Jes expected him to thrust back in harder, but instead he slid in as slowly as before. The results this time were much like the first—lightning crackled through her body as he filled her, a gasp ripping from her as he found places never touched before.

Eyes never leaving hers, Jake set a steady pace, pulling all the way out, then shoving back in deep. At first his movements were almost gentle, but within moments, the thrusts became harder, the sound of their skin slapping together audible over their moans and groans. She tightened her legs around him, urging him on.

Every time he pounded into her, he sent delightful tingles through her, and Jes knew she wasn’t going to last very long before orgasming. She could already feel the heat building up in her middle, spreading outward like a fast-building fire.

Then, when Jes was sure this night couldn’t get any better, Jake pressed his face to her neck, burying himself in her hair as his mouth moved over her skin, whispering smoldering words into her ear.

“You’re so damn hot and perfect,” he murmured, his lips teasing her ear, tracing down to that point along her neck where her pulse pounded in time with her heartbeat. “Like you were made just for me.”

She’d thought she was on fire before, but those words, whispered in that deep, rumbling voice of his? When he told her that he wanted her to come for him, it made her wonder if she might burst into flames.

Then she felt the sharp tips of his fangs trailing along her neck, scraping her tender flesh, not enough pressure to break the skin, but enough for her to feel it.

Wow, did she feel it.

The scary part was that there was something inside of her that wanted him to bite her harder, to feel those fangs breaking skin.

He didn’t. But she exploded into orgasm all the same. Not a gentle, relaxing release, either, but a violent spasm of pleasure that ripped a long scream from her throat and made her feel like there was no way she’d ever survive the moment.

Her climax came in one long, hard wave, then continued with dozens of lighter ripples that left her weak and shaking. At some point in the mind-blowing process, Jes heard Jake let loose a sexy growl as he came. As he pulsed inside her, he bit down a little bit harder, which resulted in several more delicious spasms of her own. Then he was flipping them over, bringing her trembling body to rest on top of him, her cheek on his sweat-slick chest, her ear treated to the thumping of his rapid heartbeat.

She’d done that to him.

She’d made his heart lose control like that.

They lay there for a long time, their breathing and heart rate slowly returning to something approaching normal. Jes knew hers wouldn’t go all the way back to baseline, not when she was draped so casually across Jake’s perfect naked body. But she calmed down enough to at least think straight.

Enough to know that nothing would ever be the same again in her life. Whatever it was between her and Jake, everything had changed drastically. She couldn’t put a word to what it was now, but she knew it was something she’d never experienced before.

As she lay there thinking, Jes realized her fingers had gone exploring, working with a will of their own as they moved back and forth across the warm skin of his chest, one fingertip lightly tracing the circular scar there. Was it her imagination, or was it even smaller than before they’d started making out tonight?

She played there for a bit, letting her thoughts roam freely, replaying their lovemaking, the primal nature of her attraction to him.

“They haven’t come back yet, if you were wondering,” Jake said softly, pulling her out of the moment she’d been lost in and reminding her there was a real world out there.

She sighed. “They probably will soon. Should we get dressed and go downstairs so they won’t know?”

Jake’s strong arm tightened around her, his fingers trailing across her skin as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “They already know.”

He was right of course.

“We can still get dressed and go downstairs if you want, though,” he said, his tone careful and a little uncertain.

Jes pushed herself up off his chest to look down at him. His face was carefully composed, his expression neutral. She ran her fingers gently along his jaw, giving him a smile. “What I want is to stay right here with you. Unless it turns out you’re more the hit-it-and-quit-it type of guy?”

“No, I’m not that type.” He smoothed her hair back, the corners of his mouth edging up. “I’d love for you to sleep here tonight. As for the team, we won’t rub it in anyone’s face, but we won’t hide it, either. That work for you?”

She smiled. “That works for me.”
