“Aye,” Alec growls approvingly into me. “Good girl. Come for me, sweetheart.”
I’m about to do just that when the front door swings open.
THIRTY-SIX
SUMMER
“Well, well, well,” Fraser says. “What do we have here then?”
Alec’s heavy body stills on top of me as Cameron and Fraser step inside the house. They’re both in rain-logged coats and staring at us. Fraser is grinning, his eyes slipping down the bare lines of my legs. Cameron’s face is stony.
Heat flushes through me as the fog in my head blows away.
Shit. What am I doing?
I didn’t mean for this to happen. I didn’t mean for any of this to happen. I was just trying to save Crumpet. I wasn’t expecting a kiss, much less getting eaten out in a shared living space.
Embarrassment bubbles up in me. These men are friends. Best friends. I’ve already slept with two of them, and now I’m shagging the third?
I’m a mess.
I try to sit up and fix my hair, but Alec’s arm locks around my waist like an iron band, and he makes a forbidding noise into my thigh. “No.” The order hits me like a shot of whisky, and I melt against the sofa cushion.
“Um,” I manage. “Do you want to…like…maybe get up?”
He gives Cameron and Fraser a black look and then reluctantly straightens and sits beside me on the sofa. His chiselled face is wet, and shame pulses through me as I pull down my skirt.
“Oh, don’t stop on our account,” Fraser says cheerfully. “Don’t suppose we get to watch, do we?”
Cameron just sets a bag down on the table. “Got you some real boots,” he mutters, not looking at me. Shame eats at me. He bought me shoes, then walked in on me with another man.
“Thank you!” I stammer. “I’ll pay you back!”
He doesn’t respond.
Alec touches my cheek. “You’re embarrassed,” he says quietly, reading my face.
“Um. Yes?” I whisper. “They walked in on you eating me out?” Even saying the words makes my core clench, and I squirm slightly. Alec strokes his thumb soothingly over the inside of my knee, and everything in me pulses.
“Honey! Why would you feel embarrassed about that?” Fraser guffaws. “There are few things in the world that I’d rather see!” He steps closer, laying a hand on my head.
Alec glowers, trying to gather me away from the other man. “Don’t touch her.”
“Bossy. Glad to see you finally came to your senses, mate.” Fraser plays with my hair. “You look really beautiful,” he tells me, his eyes crinkling with a smile.
My cheeks just burn hotter. His attention makes me feel even more embarrassed. Who goes on holiday and sleeps with all three of their Airbnb hosts? In the doorway, Cameron is glaring daggers at Alec. I’m causing problems.
“Summer.” Alec takes my jaw in one strong hand, making me look at him. “Would you like for them to join us?”
THIRTY-SEVEN
ALEC
Summer’s mouth falls open in a pretty wee rosebud, and it takes everything in me not to lean in and bite it. I need to focus.
She’s upset. And it’s my fault. I take a breath through my nose, trying to calm myself. My whole body is burning. I can still taste her in my mouth, smell her over my face. It’s torture.
But she’s unhappy. And I can’t have that.
