She cries out in frustration, fresh tears erupting from my denial.

Fuckin’ A.

I turn back to her, clutching her upper arms. “Don’t cry, baby. Fuck…”

“You almost died!” she wails, the outburst catching me off guard.

The tremors start again, making her whole body tremble and her teeth clink together.

“You almost died because of what Mercer did,” she sobs, shaking her head, fresh tears falling.

My gut sinks. As if anyone in this car needs a reminder.

The cab fills with tension, a heavy, noxious silence falling over us. Every ache and pain in my body was caused by the man whose thigh keeps pressing into mine.

And yet—

She wants him, too.

No, she needs him. By the way they interact and how reverently he treats her, I know she’s speaking her truth.

I fucking hate it.

But I can’t deny it.

“Please, Ty.” Her mouth brushes against mine, leaving her salty tears on my lips. “Let me feel you. I need to know I’m not dreaming. I need to know this is real.”

Fuckin’ A.

I force down a thick swallow, then survey the man beside me.

I don’t know what I’m hoping to find. Support? Permission?

Eden’s eyes drill into mine, the potent storm of emotions in them ominous.

“Please,” my girl preens, her voice reedy as she bounces on my lap with just enough pressure to send a mix of pain and pleasure zinging through my core.

The professor’s expression hardens. “I’m not going to stop you.”

I balk, nearly choking on a sharp inhale. There’s no way he actually wants me to fuck her in front of him.

“I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable,” I blurt out. “We’ve never—”

“Ty,” Sawyer whimpers, the single syllable halfway between a plea and a sob.

Noah groans up front seat. “Give her what she wants, Tytus. I can’t listen to her cry any longer.”

I swallow, looking from Sawyer to Eden, who’s still glaring like he’d love to shove me back in a storage locker and keep me there for good.

“Do you want to move to the front again,” I ask him. “Or—”

“No!”

Sawyer’s intense reaction makes my heart stutter.

“Please just give her what she wants,” Noah begs.

With a long sigh, Eden nods once. “The windows are too dark for anyone to see in. I’m staying put. Make it quick.”
