“Are tickets still available?” I ask. “I need to be there.”

“Already ahead of you, cousin. I’ve got five tickets under our aliases in my inbox right now, and I already booked the plane and took care of the accommodations.”

I shoot him a surprised look.

“What?” He grins. “You think I’m gonna let you have all the fun and just sit back while you take care of shit? Fuck no. I’ve been bored out of my tree for months, and this is exactly the kind of mayhem I need to keep me distracted.” His grin falters for a brief second. “And it’ll give the others something to focus on outside of their dicks for once.”

Jace will never admit it to anyone, not even himself, but I know how much Jax not being around is affecting him. After spending their entire lives living and acting as a unit and using each other to stay grounded, this change has to be devastating for him.

It’s honestly a miracle he’s kept his shit together this long.

“Thanks,” I say, even though that doesn’t even begin to cover how much this means to me. He knows I’m grateful, and he also knows I’d do the same for him in a heartbeat.

He nods and pulls open his desk drawer. “Here.” He hands me a flash drive. “This has everything I was able to find out about Romeo House on it. And because I’m amazing, I created a little something-something that can help you use all these littletidbits of info I found.” He tosses me a grin. “Wanna know what it is?”

“Of course, but I also know you love a big reveal, so I’m going to let you stall and build it up as much as you want.”

“I appreciate that.” He chuckles. “But the big reveal isn’t my creation, it’s what I found out about Romeo House that’s the really interesting part of all of this.”

“What did you make, and what did you find?” I ask, playing along.

“I made you a program that will give you real-time info about their security system and has an interactive map of the house that can create routes for you and alter them in real time to keep you out of sight.”

“You’re saying I can use this to break into Romeo House?” I ask, just to be sure I heard him correctly.

“Yup. But here’s the really fun part. You’ve heard the rumors about the secret passages and all that jazz that are part of the house lore, right?”

I nod.

“I shit you not, but they’re all true. And it’s not just a couple of passages and hidden rooms. It’s an entire system that connects every single part of the house, and it makes the design of the main house look like child’s play in comparison.”

“Seriously?”

“Yup. And they keep that shit locked down. The only reason I could even create the model was that I found almost a dozen partial maps in their system and could layer them to find the whole picture. Or at least most of it. There’s a chance I didn’t find everything, but I’m confident that it’s enough to safely move through the house.” He grins wickedly. “So confident that I tested it out last night when no one answered my texts. Go ahead and tell me I’m a genius and your favorite cousin.” He holds outhis hand. “Now give me your phone, and I’ll put the program on it.”

“You’re a genius, and my favorite cousin,” I repeat as I dig my phone out of my pocket and pass it to him.

“Do you want me to put a tracker on Damon’s phone?” he asks, his fingers flying over the keyboard as he does his thing.

“Yeah.”

“Good.” He shoots me a quick grin. “Because I did that while you were getting your ass over here.”

The door swings open, and I glance over my shoulder as Jax strides into the room with Killian on his heels.

“Hey,” Jace greets. “Guess who Xave’s been fucking?”

“Damon,” Jax says without skipping a beat.

“Damon,” Killian says so quickly their voices overlap.

“Seriously?” I look between them. “You all knew?”

Jax smirks and drops onto the loveseat. “You’re really not as good at hiding shit as you think you are.”

“You’re really not.” Killian agrees as he settles on the couch.

“Do you guys have a problem with it?” I ask.
