“Mmm,” she moans, glancing my way as he carries her to the bed. Stripped now. Clean white sheets. “He’s pure evil,” she mutters, slurring her words. “Like a thousand demons. With tongues of fire.”

“How does she taste today?” Seth waltzes over.

Jude smiles, his lips still wet with her essence. Lowering her onto the bed, he kisses her forehead and responds, “Like liquid sunshine.”

When Rory steps toward the bed, she glances up at him, her eyes lighting up. “Aww, Red, why’s your ear bleeding again?”

His jaw hardens.

“Briella,” I cut to the point before he can retort, gratified when her watery eyes rush to mine. “What do you need?”

“Clothes,” she pants. “Definitely clothes.” Her timidity overcomes her, and she pulls the upper sheets over herself.

“We have an expansive wardrobe,” Jude says, combing his fingers through her wet hair. Yes, we have prepared for our goddess for years now. She looks up at him adoringly, her nipples still hard and showing through the thin sheet.

I never want her to gaze up at me in such a way. And she never will.

“Anything with witchy vibes?” She lifts her shoulders.

Rory snorts. “Explains a lot.”

She glowers at him. “Why? Because I have purple hair and was wearing a fairy dress when you found me?”

“Youfound us,” he corrects, hugging his elbows. “And yeah, something like that.”

“Oh!” she exclaims, and I can already tell where this is going. Amusement ripples in my chest as she exaggerates her eyes roaming to his pants. “So, that’s why you’re such a giant dick.”

A vein throbs in his neck with restrained fury. When his eye twitches, Briella glances at the rest of us. “Did I break him or something?”

Seth laughs and shakes his head, elbow nudging his partner. “No. He’s just on his best behavior after Raphael got done with him.”

She lifts her brows, and her cheeks warm. But it’s not gratitude in her gaze. Her subtle nod is one of assurance and respect.

Fucking perfect for us.

But she may feel differently later tonight with my plans.

When Jude doesn’t return from the closet in the other room, Raphael sends me to check on him.

I roll my eyes. Since when am I the errand boy?

“Damn. So much for expansive,” Jude mutters while surveying the mess.

“I wouldn’t mind that glittery red sequin thing on her,” I mention, leaning against the door, arms crossed.

“There isnothinghere that would suit Briella’s desires.”

He fishes through the items. I don’t bother. Most are from the girls who didn’t survive. Raphael said their clothes would not go to waste. At least he’s consistent since he never allows anything to go to waste with his kills.
