“Did you bring shoes?” Carver asked, making Peter nod as he bent down to push the suit off his feet.

“They’re in my backpack.”

Carver opened the backpack, taking out his white sneakers and putting them on the floor next to him while bundling up the suit and stuffing it inside. He tried to shove Peter’s helmet in there too, but it wouldn’t fit.

“Thanks!” Peter said, putting the shoes on. He glanced up, startled to see a strange man looking at him from a few feet away. It was an alpha, and he was almost as tall and muscular as Tex and Carver. He was also dressed in head to toe leather.

Peter had been so caught up in his playful interaction with his alphas that he’d completely forgotten that they were in a public place. He rushed to put on his shoes and rose to his feet, standing behind Tex and trying not to blush.

“Hi, welcome to Leather House. Can I help you gentlemen find anything?” the strange alpha asked. He sounded amused, looking from Tex to Peter and back again.

“Not yet,” Tex said, pulling Peter under his arm and pressing him close to his side. Peter had never heard him sound so unfriendly. “We’re just browsing for now.”

“Well, my name is John,” the alpha said, grinning and showing off slightly crooked and very white teeth. “Let me know if you need anything. If you can’t find anything in the size you need, we have more inventory in the back.”

“Thanks, we’ll keep that in mind,” Carver said, his tone just as unfriendly as Tex’s.

John walked away, Tex and Carver both glaring at him like he’d personally offended them.

“What was that all about?” Peter asked. He took his backpack from Carver, putting it on as he waited for an answer, leaving Carver to hold his helmet.

“Nothing,” Tex said with a tight grin. “We just weren’t expecting a werewolf.”

“And that’s bad?” Peter asked. He’d noticed that John was big, but he hadn’t realized he was a werewolf.

He wondered how many werewolves he’d met in his life without realizing it.

Carver shook his head. “No, it was just unexpected. We shouldn’t have been assholes to him.”

“He shouldn’t have looked at our omega,” Tex countered, growling and making Peter’s groin tingle.

“That too,” Carver agreed. He ruffled Peter’s hair. “You ready to see what they’ve got?”

Peter looked at the shelves, row after row of them, trepidation and excitement warring in his belly. He nodded. “Let’s go.”

Carver went and grabbed a cart like they were at the grocery store, and Peter wondered just how much stuff they intended to buy. Carver put Peter’s helmet into the cart, so Peter shrugged off his backpack and added that too.

“If you see anything you want, let us know, even if it’s just for a closer look,” Carver said, pushing the cart down toward the first aisle.

“I will,” Peter promised.

Carver

Carver pushed the cart forward, Tex and Peter walking behind and letting him lead the way. That suited Carver just fine. He was salivating over the opportunity to buy gear that he could actually use.

With Tex, Carver had been enormously restricted in what his husband would submit to—anything that hurt was basically off the table—and he was looking forward to substantially increasing his collection of gear.

The first aisle was devoted to anal toys, and since they had plenty of those at home, they didn’t linger. Tex grabbed a string of anal beads and put them in the cart, and Carver grabbed some sort of alien egg depositor thing that looked interesting. The eggs were made from a gelatinous substance that melted at body temp, and Carver liked the idea of stuffing Peter full before knotting him.

“This is more like it,” Tex said when they reached the next aisle. Carver let out a snort. The second aisle was devoted to leather apparel, and the very first thing on display was a collection of boots. “These are hot. Right, Peter?” Tex said, reaching for a pair of knee-high boots that looked indistinguishable from the ones he wore with his uniform.

“I guess,” Peter said, reaching out and tentatively brushing his hand over the leather. He licked his lips like he could already taste the shiny boot on the tip of his tongue.

“Think you’d like to get on your knees and lick these?” Tex grabbed Peter by the back of his neck, holding him steady and giving him a gentle little shake as he held the boot close to his face.

“Maybe,” Peter croaked.
