“Shut up,” John said, laughter in his voice. “Anyway, Mike is looking at me like I’m a crazy person.”
“I’ll let you get back to your lunch,” Carter said, taking the hint. “I’ll see you this weekend.”

Carter hung up the phone and put it down on the table, and for a while he just sat there.
Even though he should probably be thinking about what he’d just given up to Alpha Tiller’s little brother, all he could think about was John and the mental image of him getting a hard-on in his uniform.

He froze, his mind flashing back on his conversation with Alpha Tiller. He’d told the older werewolf that he was in love with John.

No. Carter nipped that particular worry in the butt.Hewas the one who had said he didn’t want to get attached, and he’d been fooling himself when he’d told himself that what they were doing wasn’t dating.
The next time he saw John, Carter decided, he’d ask him if he wanted to start dating officially. He wouldn’t scare him away with a big declaration of his feelings, but he would make it clear that his feelings weren’t casual.
Hopefully John would be happy to hear it.
