Hunter looked at his brother with a grin that never seemed to leave his face. Their family had made it through the war of all wars. Sure, he knew there would be other battles, but they would make it through. They would face them together alongside their new family and allies.

One thing was certain. With everything they’d been through and what they had done for the Moon Goddess, their family would always receive her blessing. And no matter what future Lucie chose, they would support her and be there for her. But that wasn’t something he would worry about today. Lucie’s journey would be another story entirely.

“You brothers really don’t like doing anything separately, do you?” Lita checked over the new baby before handing her over to Chelsie.

“Thanks for coming, Mom. How’s everyone else doing?” Brody asked as he reached down to hold his baby’s tiny hand.

“Everyone is doing great. So … have you decided on a name?” Lita asked.

“Raine. We’re naming her Raine.” Brody smiled at his mother.

Lita, you won’t believe this …Asher’s voice entered her mind only a moment before she heard the door to the room open.

“How?! How is this possible? This has to be a fun game of Selene’s. It must be. This can’t happen. It doesn’t happen!” Lita and Asher started quickly gathering equipment from around the room.

“Guess Reiya is making sure she doesn’t get left out today.” Asher chuckled, glancing at Brody before leaving with the medical bags. “I’ll take these into Reiya’s room. Then I’ll be back to see my new granddaughter.”

“Okay, Gramps.” Brody beamed as he called his father that for the first time.

“Not to brag, but I am a pretty good-looking grandpa.” Asher laughed and raced after Lita.

Lita walked out of the room, giving the new parents their privacy. Lee cooed to his new daughter and held her tenderly in his arms.

“She’s perfect, Reiya. She’s beautiful, just like you. You did so well. How are you feeling?” Lee asked, snuggling into bed beside her.

“Much better. It’s so nice to not feel drained all the time. And I can finally start showering by myself again.”

Lee laughed lightly. “That won’t be happening. Doesn’t matter if you need my energy or not. I’m not about to let you go in there and wash the fun parts without me.”

“Are you going to tell Xander and Lila they can come up and see her?” Reiya asked, and Lee shook his head.

“No, not yet. I’m going to be selfish just a little bit longer. You know I’m not good at sharing.” Lee grinned and placed a soft kiss on Reiya’s head.

Reiya looked up at Lee and frowned. “What about Ken? You need to tell him to quit being stubborn. I don’t want her to go through what I did.”

Lee pouted. “I hate having to share her, though.” Then he noticed the stern look from Reiya, and he gave a soft laugh. “I’ll talk with him, my fairy. I want her happiness above everything. Even if it means sharing her.”

Lita walked back to Asher and Grayson. Asher scooped her into his arms and she sighed happily.

“Two more granddaughters came into the family. We have four granddaughters and one grandson.”

“How are you feeling?” Grayson asked Lita. They’d been running back and forth like crazy.

Lita giggled. “I’m fine. I’m not the one having the babies. Come on. I told Hunter I’d be back to check on them and let them know about their new nieces.”

EPILOGUE

The next day …

“What do you want?” Ken asked, turning to Levi.

“She’s been born.”

“I know … I can feel her,” Ken whispered out in a shallow breath, as if it was painful.

“That’s only going to get stronger and harder to avoid.”

“I already told you, Levi. I’m no good for her. And being with me will be dangerous for her.” Ken squeezed his hands together. “I’m a damn monster.”
