Easton sat down on the bar stool before us and Emerson followed behind. He put his elbows on the counter and rested his chin on his hands with a mischievously sweet smile. I leaned against the counter as naturally as I possibly could, trying my best to hide the throbbing erection that was straining in my pants.
My brother was grinning like he knew something that we didn't. "Are you going to answer my question or are you just going to stare at me?"
"I invited him over," I stated.
Easton tilted his head. "Pretty sure we aren't supposed to have guests over right now."
I shifted awkwardly as I scoffed sarcastically. "Yes, because you always follow the rules.”
My brother ignored my comment, turning his attention to Javi. At first his stare was blank, but then he blinked and his eyebrows raised. "Hey, aren’t you the guy who paid for Elias' trip? The nerd trip, or whatever it's called."
Ignoring the fact that Easton called it the ‘nerd trip,’ Javier responded neutrally. “Yeah, that was me.”
"So your parents have money?" Easton smirked. Javier stuffed his hands into his pockets coolly and settled for a loose shrug.
"Easton, stop," I warned. I knew what he was going to ask next.
"I'm not talking to you,” he snarled.
Javier took a side-step closer to me and our arms brushed together. I put my hands on the counter and leaned against it. Anything to try and help the aching in my pants that had nowhere to let out.
"He's going to ask you if you'll take us too," Emerson said, her words directed to Javier. Easton’s jaw dropped and his head jerked in offense. "But the more I think about it, the more Irealize how rude it is for us to ask you to do that. Just because you did it for Eli doesn’t mean we get that invitation too. You can ignore Easton."
Easton threw his arms out in disbelief as he glared at his twin sister. "Why would you say that?"
"Because it's the truth."
"You're supposed to be on my side here."
"Can you please leave?" I pleaded. My muscles were tense and my dick was aching, I was about ready to beg for their exit. "We're trying to bake cookies, and we'd like to finish."
"We are not talking to you," he enunciated each word dramatically as he spoke.
My shoulders shrugged as I began to chuckle. Life was so ridiculous that it was funny. I tried to convince myself that bringing Javi here would go uninterrupted, but I always knew that someone would fuck it up. Who better than my brother?
"You ruin everything," I snapped.
"Youruin everything," Easton rebutted. "Sorry for wanting to ask a simple question."
Javier’s eyes searched mine for some indication on what to do. He then spoke hesitantly, "I guess I could ask my parents and see if—"
"Ignore him, Javi. He’s just a leech who thinks that if he bullies his way through shit, he’ll always get what he wants.”
Easton’s eyes narrowed and darkened at the sound of my words. He parted his lips to speak, and I braced myself for whatever foul words were about to come out of my mouth, but nothing came. He felt Emersons eyes sending a harsh glare his way and bit his tongue.
Hmm, odd.
"Whatever," he huffed. "At least let us help you finish baking before Macy gets home."
"Which will be soon." My sister looked at her phone for the time. "She went to see a movie with Daniel and it ends in about an hour. I was eavesdropping earlier and found that out. You’re welcome."
I looked at Javier to see if he was alright with this. He didn’t offer much to go off, but he appeared indifferent. Did I want the twins to help us bake? No, it was something I was doing with Javi. The last thing I wanted was their interruption, especially since I had a raging boner that needed to be dealt with.
However, a piece of me was feeling sorry about the whole trip situation. God, I hated empathy.
“Fine, but I…uh. I have to go to the bathroom,” I announced awkwardly.
The twins shared a look of confusion and then Easton eyed me skeptically. “Thanks for letting us know, champ.”
