“I think it’s what it might become.” I lifted a finger to her chin and tilted her head up to look into her eyes. “I have feelings for you.”
“I have feelings for you too.”
She smiled her infectious smile and I nuzzled her close, tucking her head under my chin. Peace settled through my body, every muscle uncoiling from tension I didn’t realise I was carrying.
Elena Archer
I hadn’t slept much. Every time one of us stirred, we ended up touching, kissing, fucking. The sun arose around us, bathing our sweating skin in gold.
I unfolded myself from his embrace to be met with a groan of resistance. He tried to pull me back against him but I pulled myself free, staggering naked towards the window that he had so thoroughly fucked me against last night.
“Where are you going?” His voice was muffled by the pillow.
“I have a meeting. You have qualifying.”
“Fuck. How am I going to drive the car after a night like that?”
“I’m sure you’ll manage. Chug an energy drink first.”
“Black coffee first, then an energy drink.” He rolled onto his back and spread his arms wide, his glorious, naked body open for me to drink in. He was all hard lines, firm muscles and milky skin.
“Mind if I use your shower?”
“Go ahead. But if you take too long I might join you and fuck you again.” He grinned at me.
I liked this side of him. A lot. I stifled a laugh and padded softly across the plush, white carpet to the bathroom.
He didn’t interrupt my shower. Which, honestly, I was glad of. I was in a hurry and needed to wash off all of the sex from the night before. I used the hotel’s toiletries and was just patting myself dry with a fluffy, white towel when the bathroom door swung open. Aleks stood there, naked, and holding out a folded set of sweats.
“Here, wear these so you don’t have to do the walk of shame in last night’s dress.”
“I have zero shame about last night,” I replied, grinning.
“Good. Me neither.”
Still, I took the clothes and moved in for a smouldering kiss. Just as I was feeling tempted to allow hands to wander, a knock at the door ripped us apart. We stood staring at each other with wide eyes.
“You expecting room service?” I whispered.
He shook his head. He took a clean towel from the rail and wrapped it around his waist. He tapped his finger to his lips and closed the door, leaving me alone in the brightly lit bathroom.
I listened at the door as he opened the suite door. The voices were muffled, but I strained to hear, clutching the folded clothes to my naked body.
“—ready?”
“I will be in ten minutes,” Aleks replied. Who was it? I couldn’t tell. I was suddenly acutely aware of my clothes scattered across his suite. But it sounded like Aleks was containing the visitor to the doorway.
I stepped back and hurriedly dressed in the borrowed clothes. I twisted my wet hair into a knot and returned to the bathroom door.
“I’ll be waiting in the lobby.”
I contained a gasp when I heard the visitor’s voice more clearly right on the other side of the door. It was unmistakably Norton Ross. The very last person we wanted to find out about us.
The suite door clicked closed and a moment later, the bathroom door began to open. I stepped back quickly to avoid getting hit by it.
“Everything okay?” I asked, keeping my voice low. “What did Ross want?”
“Just to offer me a ride to the track.”
