Watching Clive and Mixie, I still couldn’t understand the connection. They wasn’t doin’ shit forreal ‘cause neither one of them had money like that. I really didn’t understand what the fuck they had going on ‘cause Mixie liked niggas with money. Clive was broke as fuck, and from what I could see, Mixie was footing the bill. If I hadn’t seen them kissing, I would have thought he was her daddy or some shit like that. He was old enough. I mean, Mixie was a year older than Juniper. I would get the two of them dealing with each other if niggas was getting robbed or money was comming up short, but that hadn’t happened not once since Mixie been around. The shit was weird as fuck no matter how you sliced it. At this point, a nigga was tired of guessing I wanted answers, and I was coming straight to the sorce to get the answers.

“ ‘Cause that nigga in here,” I answered as we made our way onto the elevator.

“What you mean? I know Mixie ain’t fuckin’ with Clive? Ain’t no fuckin’ way? Nigga, you done left her ass, and she done went to the nursin’ home fo’ yo’ replacement.” Gee laughed, shaking his head at me.

“Nigga, fuck you.”

“I’m sayin’, you know bitches be havin’ a type. Let me find out you be fuckin’ bitches like an old nigga.”

“Shut yo stupid ass up. You lost ya whole family to a nigga that suck his mutha fuckin’ thumb.” I shot back at him speaking on Daelite and her new nigga.

Gee's face got serious. He mugged me when I said that. “Nigga, I ain’t lose shit. Fuck we talkin’ about that shit fo’? We got other shit we need to be worried about.” The nigga wanted to have his chest poked out.

Daelite was a sensitive subject for this nigga. You brought her up, and Gee was ready to fight. Why he wanted to talk shit to me knowing I wasn’t scared of his ass? I had no issues speaking on Daelite ‘cause he wasn’t finna do shit but huff and puff.

“You right.” I snickered at him, and he shot me a dirty look as we got off the elevator.

Heading over to Mixie’s door, we exchanged glaces hearing yelling coming from her door. I pulled my strap out, Gee did the same. I signaled for him to hold on; I wanted to hear what they was saying.

“Clive, you gotta go! I’m sick of this shit, it’s been the same shit for damn near fifteen years. I’m done!”Mixie screamed at Clive, followed by a glass breaking.

“You crazy bitch! I’m sick of your old, tired pussy anyways. After you had that little bastard, ya shit ain’t been right since!”Clive yelled back at her then the door snatched open, and he came face to face with Gee and me.

Without a second thought, I smashed my gun into Clive’s face, making him stumble back, falling on his ass. His knee was still fucked up from our last encounter. “That little bastard? Is my son, right?” I asked, looking down at the nigga holding his nose that was gushing blood.

Stepping into the house behind me, Gee shut the door.

“Nigga, I know you didn’t come back in my fucking hou-” Mixie came storming into the entryway in a thin see-through night gown. Her face dropped when her eyes landed on me. “Fa-fa-fa-.”

“Whad up?” The nonchalant tone I cut Mixie off with didn’t match the evil glare I was giving her.

“Wha-” Her eyes darted to Gee. “Why?” Her eyes shot down to Clive on the ground. “I can explain.” She looked at me with watery eyes.

“Explain,” I simply told her with all eyes on Mixie. She let tears fall down her face. Mixie was putting on a show.

Her ass got caught, and now she wanted to do the “poor me” role. I knew her, so them fake ass tears weren’t moving me.

“He- this- it’s not what you think, Faheem.” Mixie really let her tears flow as snot started running down her nose, mixing in with her tears, looking nasty as fuck.

“How you know what I think?” I asked Mixie, but I put my eyes on Clive. The nigga was being too quiet.

“I just know how it looks. He was coming looking for Juniper. Tell him, Clive.”

Looking at the nigga, I dared him to lie to me. On my mama, I was finna kick his shit in the second he lied for Mixie.

“Mannn…This nigga ain’t dumb, Mixie. If he knows I’m here, he knows we fuckin’,” Clive smartly answered, holding his nose.

“There’s nothing for him to know about, Clive,” Mixie gritted out through clenched teeth. I chuckled ‘cause she was really finna try to keep this shit up. “Juniper isn’t here. She hasn’t been for a long time.”

“Mixie, you know my nigga ain’t fuckin’ slow, right? You in this bitch half naked fighting with this old nigga, and you think he finna believe Clive was here lookin’ fa Juniper?” Gee said, pushing himself off the wall he was leaning on.

“She gotta think a nigga slow as fuck,” I said, looking back at Gee who had his gun aimed at Clive. He stood next to me.

“How long you been fuckin’ ha ass?” Gee asked with his attention on Clive.

Clive let out a deep sigh almost like his bitch ass was ashamed. “A long time,” he grumbled under his breath.

“What the fuck is a long time?” I barked, not liking the glances being exchanged between him and Mixie.
