“Give them to Mixie,” I smartly replied, folding my arms across my chest. The more I started to think about everything, the more I felt like Faheem was trying to play me.

Kissing his teeth at me, Faheem gave me hard eyes that spoke volumes. He was getting mad.Too bad, I didn’t care. Faheem needed to run his weak ass game on his bitch.

“Why I’ma give her somethin’ I got fa you? That shit sounds stupid,” he said, copping an attitude. As If I gave a fuck. Faheem was gonna have to do better.

“I meaaannn… if she don’t want them, I’ll happily take them,” Jamie purred from behind us. I turned around, mugging the fuck outta Jamie’s thirsty ass.

“Girl, beat ya fuckin’ feet!” I snapped at Jamie, daring her to try me on this glorious day.

“What’s the hostility for? I’m just saying. I’ll take whatever you don’t want is all I’m saying.” Jamie batted her eyes at Faheem lustfully.

ho's like her made me sick, and everything in me was saying I should have slapped her on G.P. If a nigga wasn’t for you, it wasn’t cute to try to force yourself on a nigga that hadn’t shown an ounce of interest. The shit was tacky as fuck.

Faheem frowned at Jamie. “Shawty, can you go ahead so I can speak to my wife?” he asked a question, but the way Faheem spoke, it was a demand.

“Mmm. I guess.” Jamie stood up pretending to adjust her clothes. In real life, she was trying to show her ass to Faheem. I never noticed how thirsty Jamie was. My frown couldn’t be hidden. “You know, Angelo don't play about us taking longbreaks. You better hurry up, Juniper,” Jamie messily said on her way out the breakroom.

“You a nasty ass nigga,” I spat the second it was just the two of us. Shaking my head, I went back to my seat.

“When you and that pussy involved, I’m nasty as fuck.” Faheem licked his lips then pulled the breakroom door shut.

I scoffed at his mannish remark. “Me and every other female in Beaumont.”

“Nah, you got the wrong nigga.” He cockily smiled at me.

“You fucked Jamie’s thirsty ass.”

“Man, what? Who the fuck is Jamie?”

“Nigga, don’t play stupid, my co-worker who just left outta here.” I gave him theare you dumblook.

“That broad?” Faheem pointed back towards the door. “I ain’t never smashed her. She was tryna fuck a nigga, but shawty got a rep outta this world. I was with Mixie, and she was about to fuck her thirsty ass up for doin’ too much. That bitch ain’t even my type.”

“Whatever,” I grumbled, not wanting to admit I knew better than to believe anything that came out of Jamie’s mouth.

I don’t know why I even listened to anything Jamie said. This wasn’t the first time she’d been caught in a lie about fucking with somebody. Thinking back, it made sense with the way Jamie was tryna hide from Mixie.

“Fuck all of that. I’m tryna spend the day with you,” Faheem said, standing behind my chair.

“I work until eight, and I have plans with Frankee. We’re going to a bar tonight,” I told a bold face lie. Faheem was barking up the wrong tree. He wasn’t about to cancel our plans then give me his pity time. Fuck him and his plans.

“Angelo gave you the rest of the day off, and you can chill with Frankee another day. You been with her the entireweekend. I missed you.” Faheem ran his hand across the back of my neck.

Playing it off, I ignored him scrolling through my phone on IG. I was actually shocked at the response I’d gotten from the pictures I posted in my outfit from the stop light party. I had close to 400 likes and close to that amount in comments. My inbox had been going off nonstop. There were a few niggas that caught my attention that I’d been talking to, a few from the club that slipped me their numbers before I left. I knew I looked good, seeing everyone’s reaction hyped me up even more. Had me feeling like I was the baddest bitch in the world.

“And take that shit down.” Faheem’s deep voice startled me, making me drop my phone on the table. “You got niggas thinking you single. Matter of fact. You need to let it be known that you married as fuck,” he said, reaching over me, snatching my phone from the table.

“Faheem…” I groaned, getting up from my chair to get my phone back.

“Get ya ass back,” Faheem said with my phone raised outta my reach while he did whatever he was doing on my phone. I didn’t have any other choice but to let him do whatever he wanted with my phone. Faheem casually slid my phone in his jean pocket. “Bring yo hot ass on.” Faheem grunted, walking out of the breakroom, leaving me no choice but to follow him to my dismay.

Faheem didn’t think he was slick, he knew he was slick. The nigga went in his big bag of tricks and pulled out all of the works. He claimed he didn’t have time to take me by his house to get clothes, but he had time to take me to a cute boutique calledWyald’s Way,in downtown Beaumont. He ended up buying meway more clothes than I needed. If I showed the littlest interest in something, Faheem bought it. The only thing he was adamant about was me wearing this white dress that he insisted I had to get. The dress was beautiful, but I felt like it was too dressy, although I didn’t know what Faheem had planned at the time. Not in the mood to go back and forth with Faheem, I wore the dress.

The dress hugged my curves like a glove. The top of the dress looked like it was folded down, leaving my shoulders exposed. Long sleeves covered the rest of my arms, the dress stopped right above my ankles with a split in the back. A pair of clear, open toe chunky heels and gold accessories brought my look together. I was able to slick my hair back into a sleek ponytail. It was a blessing I got my sew-in reinstalled the past weekend.

After we left the store, I kept asking Faheem where we were going, but the nigga wanted to act all hush-hush. I got annoyed when we got to the car side of The Beau View. You could either hike up The Beau View which was what I wanted to do. Or drive like most people did. Driving was more convenient and faster. However, you didn’t get to see some of the beautiful views you did while hiking. Once we made it to the top, it was oddly empty. The car side of Beau View was always packed, another reason I didn’t care to come on this side. Tonight though, it was completely empty. Faheem parked off in the designated parking area. From there, most people walked towards the grassy area that eventually led to one of the many view points of Beaumont’s city skyline. He wanted to carry me since I had heels on, and we had to walk through grass. I tried to reassure him I would be fine. I was a big girl, of course Faheem didn’t hear me. He carried me against my will.
