My parents took Autumn for the night, and although my mom was happy to babysit, supportive of my date, my dad, on the other hand, didn’t want to hear any details about this guy or what we were going to do.
“You don’t think it’s a little too much?” I ask, smoothing the nonexistent wrinkles out of my t-shirt dress.
“You look fuck hot. Turn around… Yeah, this guy is going to drool over you.”
I’m wearing thigh-high black boots, an oversized Nirvana shirt as a dress, and a black calf-length black cardigan. I curled my hair into beach waves and am wearing almost no makeup except for a touch of mascara and lipstick in the shade Ruby Woo.
I figured The Brewery was cursed and decided to have the guy, Wade, meet me at Paddy’s Pub. We’ve chatted on and off for almost a week, and it’s been easy conversation. He’s a bike shop owner near Pacific Beach and does triathlons on the weekends. He seems like a nice guy, so we’ll see how the date goes. I’m not holding my breath, though.
I’m nervous, but it definitely can’t be as bad as the last one. Plus, I need something to keep my mind off a certain someone next door. And maybe tonight I’ll get lucky in every sense of the word. Maybe this guy is going to be my Prince Charming and sweep me off my feet while simultaneously giving me the best orgasm of my life.
A girl can only dream.
I check the time on my phone and realize I need to leave.
“Okay, I will text you later. I have to head out.” I grab my black, leather fringe purse and check my reflection in the microwave door.
When I’m about to shut the front door behind me, Jordan yells out, “Don’t have too much fun.” She then cackles like she’s in on a secret that I’m not a part of.

Wade is… nice.
He’s got dirty blonde, shaggy hair and is wearing a red and black checkered flannel and jeans.
We’ve been sitting at the bar for only five minutes, and he’s been respectful, pulling out my chair and letting me order my drink for myself. Hands down, a million percent better than my last date. But I can’t help but think something is missing.
It might be chemistry.
“I know you said over messaging that you work at a coffee shop. Is that what you’ve always wanted to do?” he asks and then takes a sip of his beer.
I nod my head and smile. “My parents own the shop and I’ve wanted to help them run it since day one,” I tell him.
“Cool.”
“How long have you had the bike shop?”
“I opened it up about four years ago,” he tells me.
I nod my head and take a sip of beer while someone takes the seat next to me. The scent of a man invades my nose, and a moment later, I hear, “Hey, Penny,” from my best friend’s boyfriend.
I turn in my seat only to find Declan sitting next to me while Lucas sits on the other side of him, smiling wide.
I blink a few times, trying to process that they’re here, in the same place as my date and me.
“Hey, Penny,” Declan says softly and then licks his lips. His tongue ring flashes, and an involuntary rush of tingles goes straight to my pussy.
I can still feel the way that tongue ring moved against my tongue the other day. All smooth and hard. God, it felt good. Too good in fact.
I immediately cross my legs, and Declan’s eyes catch the movement. His lips twitch, but he holds back a smile, like he knows the effect he has on me.
Asshole.
Wade clears his throat, and I feel bad for half a second because I kind of forgot he was here.
“Oh, um… this is Lucas, my best friend’s boyfriend, and this is Declan… my neighbor.” I point to the guys.
Wade reaches his hand across me to shake Lucas and Declan’s hands, and I watch them interact. It doesn’t escape me that Wade’s hand is extremely small in comparison to Declan’s, and I look away before my mind starts to wander to Declan fingering me with those big hands of his.
