Yes!This was the fast, hard, burning pace I wanted. I cried out, pulling all my weight onto the bar so I could wrap both legs around his hips. He pressed my back against the slick wall and pounded into me relentlessly. The last orgasm barely had time to recede before the next started climbing.
I nuzzled the side of his face and bit down on his ear lobe. He snarled something I didn’t catch. I took his lips again and he grunted, returning it feverishly. The taste of him would never get old.
“Let go now,” he said through gritted teeth.
I dropped the bar, grabbing onto him, and he carried me to a bench in one corner where the water barely reached. Sam laid me back on it, putting one leg up on his shoulder and the other around his waist. He bit down just above my ankle as he picked up his thrusts again. The pain and pleasure mingled, meshed, turning to something unnameable.
“You’re going to come for me again, little phoenix, until I tell you to stop.”
Phoenix. He’d called me that the first time, too. Though now that we’d had our chat, it was obvious he’d known about my powers. It was a cute nickname.
As he pounded into me, his thumb rubbed my clit. It was still incredibly sensitive from his loving torture and didn’t take long at all for my muscles to tighten and my breaths to stutter. I pressed my hands to the wall behind my head, trying to hold onto something as the edge approached.
Sam let my leg slip down into his elbow and leaned over me, sucking my nipple into his mouth. I threw my head back, moaning loudly as pure bliss crashed over me. Goosebumps erupted over my skin and the lights flickered, but Sam kept going, dragging it out further.
Through the haze of lust, I let go with one hand and reached for him. “Come with me, Sam.”
When my fingertips scraped over his scalp and grabbed his hair, he growled wildly, his thrusts becoming harsh and uneven. Magma filled my veins and I growled with him, a primal part of me recognizing a similar part of him. His thrusts slowed and he pressed his forehead to mine. I slid my arms around his neck and my fingers into his wet hair.
“Don’t think I’m even close to done with you yet,” he murmured.
Sam wrapped my legs around him, then picked me up and carried me out of the shower room, stepping carefully into the pool-sized hot tub. Seats were wrapped around the edges and I noticed some scattered throughout the center, as well. He sat in a depression that had enough room for my knees on either side of his lap, then brought my face down to his.
“Now, show me more of your fire, Lexi.”
Awhooshsounded behind me and Sam grabbed my face again before I could turn to look. Orange reflected in his beautiful eyes, though, and I knew I’d just set the fucking water on fire. Which apparently he was fine with.
My skin still tingled with the remnants of my orgasms, and I craved more for both of us. I wanted to test all of his limits. I pressed him back and grabbed the ledge, levering myself up along his length.
“I’ll give you all the fire you want.”
Chapter 11
Sam
Mid-morning light streamed through the glass doors when I opened my eyes, confusion washing over me. On the rare occasions I did sleep, I was always up before sunrise. Sleeping late wasn’t just uncommon; it was something I’d never done before.
And I certainly didn’t stick around after I’d had my fun.
The warm body tucked into my chest shifted. Lexi was still sleeping, probably exhausted after our escapades last night. She had stamina out the ass, but even she fell victim to mortal fatigue eventually. I’d obviously pushed the limits of my own human body or I wouldn’t have slept so long. It was nice, though, waking up to someone I genuinely liked.
Dangerous thinking, Lu.
As dangerous as the girl herself. I brushed a strand of red hair away from her face and she turned into my hand. Even unconscious, she sought my touch. The strange thing was, I did the Sophiee, even if I wouldn’t admit it at the time. I’d told myself I was looking for clues in her energy signature, knowing how badly I wanted her, unaware how that desire would only burrow deeper after I had her.
A thought occurred to me that shook my very core. I didn’t want to let her go. My attachment had grown beyond mere fascination into something far more alarming. It caught me off-guard, seeing as I’d been suspicious of her intentions only days ago. There wasn’t a spell I could think of that would have this kind of effect on someone like me.
Unless...
Was living as a human, complete with the mortal body, changing me? Was I becoming like them? I’d taken human form hundreds of thousands of times before, but my trips to the surface were always short, never extended past a few weeks at a time. I fought back the urge to call Michael; I could figure this out on my own.
So many questions raced through my mind, but they all got tossed to the back burner when Lexi’s near-golden eyes cracked open. She smiled sleepily and tucked her head under my chin, snuggling deeper. I cocooned her in my arms and enjoyed the peace of the moment.
Then she jerked back and looked around. “I didn’t make anything weird happen in my sleep, did I?”
“Why?" I asked, propping my head on my fist. "What were you dreaming about?"
“Nothing!” she squeaked, eyes wide. A cute blush crept across her cheeks.
