Ambrose backed her into a shadowed corridor and pressed a lingering kiss to her lips. “I believe Lucien needs a sister or brother to keep him occupied.”
Eve wrapped her arms around his neck. “Do you?”
“I do.” He kissed her again, then swept her into his arms and whisked her up to their room. Their guests could amuse themselves for a time. Lucien was cared for, and Alfred had charmed another subject into adoring him.
Making love to his wife seemed paramount to anything else.
Eve giggled as he tossed her on the bed, then followed her down. The curse he thought he’d been born to had turned intoa blessing. He still heard spirits, especially when they traveled. But he and Eve had made a happy life for themselves, which sometimes included helping those specters find peace as they had with Lucien Grey.
Eve stroked his cheek and tucked a strand of hair behind his ear. It was more silver than black now, but she didn’t seem to mind. “Another baby?”
Ambrose claimed her mouth with a kiss, then said, “Anything you want, darling. Now and always.”

About Aurrora St. James
Aurrora St. James has been writing romance since she was a teen. Fortunately for the world, those stories will never see the light of day. Now, she loves writing sexy, paranormal romances featuring tough and sometimes dark heroes, women who find their inner strength, and a touch of humor added in for spice. In particular, she enjoys writing both Medieval and Regency romances that whisk readers into the beautiful landscapes of history, where love can overcome anything.
When she’s not writing, you’ll find her reading, drinking coffee, making her own journals, or watching old B, C, and D-movies. She lives in the Florida jungle with her husband, a slightly crazy dog, and a cat that thinks he’s a brontosaurus.
