“I did my body shots.” She ran her palm over my pecs, the darks of her eyes blackening. “Know what that means?”

“You should drink water? Brush your teeth because Callum is filthy?”

“No.” She giggled. “It’s your turn.”

“My turn to do a body shotoff of you?”

She pursed her lips and shrugged. “I meant it’s your turn to complete that challenge since we’re in this together, Romano. If you want to do it off me, be my guest.”

I can lick her.My blood heated. My cock stiffened just at the thought. She kept her hand on my chest as she stared at me with those large doe eyes. She had cute freckles on her face I hadn’t really noticed before. The lighting in the bar was just right, and I wanted to trace the line of her nose, the curve of her jaw, yet my hand remained fisted at my side.

“Uh, you can also do it off someone else. Literally anyone in this place would do it off you or for you.” She snorted and stepped back. “Of course, you’d rather do it with anyone else. How silly. Not me. No. No. No.”

What?A wrinkle formed between her brows as she glanced down, backing away.

“Mackenzie.” I gripped her wrist, preventing her from walking away. “I’m not putting my mouth on someone else.”

“You can’t back down. I did it. I’ve seen you make out with numerous random girls in the same night.” She pointed at my chest and shoved. “Don’t act like you’re shy, cause you’re not.”

Shit.I was an idiot freshman and sophomore year. I made dumb choices and yeah, partied and hooked up a little too much.Hence why I’m a hot mess now.

“I’m not backing down. I’m saying I don’t trust everyone here. You used Callum, who you know.” There. That was good logic. I couldn’t tell her why I didn’t trust the opposite sex anymore, not now, not with my unhealed wounds.

“What are you saying then? Because all I hear are excuses, Romano.”

“For looking sweet, you’re a little spicy, Mack.” I laughed and yanked her toward me. I gripped her hips, my thumbs dragging along her exposed skin. She was so warm. “I’ll complete the challenge withyou. No one else.”

She nodded, her lips parting. Then, in a lower voice, she said, “But what if people think I’m … easy if I do one with you after Callum?”

“First off, who cares what people think. Secondly, I have an idea.” Keeping one hand on her hip because it was an addicting sliver of skin, I whistled to get Callum’s attention.

He had his arm around two girls, who looked like twins. “Romano, my man. This is Kelly and Kiara. Want to join us?”

“I need you to do another body shot off someone.” I jutted my chin to the girls. “Or both of them.”

“Wow, what a hardship. Ladies, what do you think?”

They were game. He led them to the bar, the crowd not even half of what it was before. Mack’s teammates sat next to two ofthe baseball guys, but Ale wiggled her brows at Mack in some sort of code.

Was that code for Mack or for Ale? Girls were weird. They had to communicate in different ways because men were generally idiots. I didn’t want to be that guy anymore, and I needed to know what the hell Mack was thinking. She was clearly a little tipsy, so was this… taking advantage? Fuck.

When we arrived at the bar, a few feet down from Callum, I picked her up and set her ass on the edge. I stood between her thighs, keeping my hands on her. This felt so natural, so perfect to be between her legs. Her muscular thighs were fantastic and so thick. I wanted to run my face along them and bite them, just to see how strong she was.

“Mack,” I said, swallowing the thickness in my throat. “Are you sure about this? Are you too drunk?”

“I’m not drunk. I have the perfect buzz.” She leaned forward, putting her chest even closer to my face. “You can’t back down now, Romano. I don’t understand why you’re demanding it has to be me when you could have anyone, but if you’re looking for excuses, my buzz is not one of them.”

“You’ve got a mouth on you,” I teased.

“I know. My attitude does tend to flare out when I have a few drinks. Or when I’m on the field. Only places this Mack Attack shines.”

“Mack Attack.” I smiled. “Makes perfect sense.”

The bartender returned, an annoyed look on his face. I slid him a hundred, and that frown shifted to a smile. “Another round?”

“Please.”

I gently helped Mack lay on her back. Callum and the girls were farther down, most of the crowd around them. I didn’t worry about who watched at all. Lo and Luca were gone, and they were my only real concern. Not that this was even that bad.Lo didn’t care that she did one with Callum, so why would she give a shit about me? He got around more than I did.
